Read moreThe Association Française des Aidants (AFA) fights for recognition of the 8.3 million family carers in France. Founded in 1983, it offers invaluable support to caregivers - mostly women - who are looking after a dependent relative. The AFA listens carefully to caregivers' needs and speaks out on their behalf through concrete actions: Cafés des Aidants, training courses, health workshops and training courses in partnership with the CNSA. Since 2003, the association has been campaigning for recognition of the role of caregivers and their place in society. In 2021, it opened a training center.
FONDATION 30 MILLIONS D'AMIS
Read more30 Millions d'Amis began as a television show launched by Jean-Pierre and Réha Hutin before becoming an animal rights association (created in 1995 by the journalist) and a magazine. After his death, his wife took over the show and the association, fighting against abandonment, experimentation, animal mistreatment and animal trafficking. Despite the end of the show, the fight continues through the foundation, its paper magazine and the Internet.
