A place known from the Middle Ages for its tile factory (hence its name), this vast French-controlled garden is one of the favorite walks of the Parisians. Its perspective stretches from the Louvre courtyard to the Arc de Triomphe; Le Nôtre, the gardener of the Louis XIV, will arrange to place him at the same time at the Grand Canal of Versailles. The two pavilions facing the Place de la Concorde welcome exhibitions of painting or photography. This park offers a pleasant relaxing environment to pamper on these green chairs or wander through masterpieces of sculpture from ancient Egyptian to present. It's also a postcard decor for joggers!

We are amused here with all the colours of the material, (rings, tunnels), and the child is very quick to be satisfied with being in a decor made in its dimensions and according to its tastes.

Attention, the Luxembourg garden can offer the best as the worst to the runners. The best by coming early in the morning, the worst one sunny spring Sunday where the crowd will be too many to fully appreciate a good race slice. In Luxembourg, the simplest is to follow the garden tower to enjoy a sufficient distance and avoid the right angle turns, this allows to appreciate the watershed perspective with the magnificent Senate building. The famous green chairs of wrought iron, so representative of this garden, offer a pleasant stop after an unrestrained race. The attendance is cosmopolitan and, depending on the hours, we find a district atmosphere, a student and contemplative atmosphere, or a much more tourist and overloaded atmosphere. Among classic or more exotic species, you can enjoy the sculptures of Bourdelle, Rodin or Ossip for a succession of literary accents.
