Salon organised at the Paris Fair. For lovers of high air, escape and thrills, two complementary universes make up the living room: leisure vehicles and sports.

A global reference: around two hundred galleries around the world are represented at this very important International Contemporary Art Fair (FIAC), which aims to offer a balanced panorama of modern art, contemporary art and emerging creation to professionals and to the general public. It is organized under the glass roof of the Grand Palais, as well as at other sites such as the Jardin des Tuileries, the Jardin des Plantes and various spaces of the National Museum of Natural History. Of course, few can buy, but many come to wonder.

Almost 500 exhibitors meet each year to present the works of many artists from all over the world.

Aperitifs and Auvergne flavors, shows, dances and folk music are on the program of this Averne Night which gathers every winter in Paris the ambassadors of nine departments (Aveyron, Cantal, Haute-Loire and Lozère among others) and eighteen folk groups, around a public evening. Organized by the Ligue Auvergnate et du Massif-Central, the event is also the occasion to elect the new Pastourelle, a young girl in regional costume, rewarded for her knowledge of her region and its history.

Created in 2000, around the Oustal, a place shared by the 300,000 Aveyron inhabitants of Paris located in Bercy, this market brings together about a hundred producers and craftsmen in the capital, every year in mid-October. For three days, glove makers from Millau, cutlers from Laguiole, cosmetic manufacturers, and food producers (butchers, bakers, cheese makers, wine makers...) are all there. A convivial and gourmet gathering that attracts more than 50,000 visitors at each edition.

It is the annual meeting place for hikers for more than 30 years! Come and stroll through the aisles of the show to stock up on good ideas to prepare your getaways: trekking, hiking of all kinds, Nordic walking, trail... there is no shortage of ideas! Several thematic villages will be found in hall 4, and the resorts, accommodation and service providers, a tour operators' village, a mountain village, a bloggers' corner and an area dedicated to equipment are the main events of this show.

Connecting République to the Stade de France over a distance of ten kilometers: this is the program of this Great Race of Greater Paris. A small part of your registration will go to beautiful works, and if the course is attractive, it presents many false flats in the first part, until Stalingrad. Then, you will go along the basin of La Villette and then follow the Saint-Denis canal, passing by the Cité des Sciences. The arrival at the Stade de France is always impressive.

Qualified by its organizers of the 1 ^st LGBT Cultures Festival in Paris during its first edition in 2011, the Paris Circuit Festival is first and foremost a commercial operation to promote LGBT evenings that follow for 6 days (third week of June) in the middle of the afternoon for some. In the 2011 edition, the culture part was reduced to the minimum portion, i. e. three films spread over two days. The overall access price is not accessible to everyone, watch the site for a possible second edition in 2012…

Since 2006, the gay rally in Paris organised by the Men In France association consists of a proposed hiking in the form of a track game, taking place on the streets of Paris by teams of 4 or 5 participants. The rally open to everyone is held at the end of September. Pre-registration before mid-September.

For 8 years, the Paris International Tournament is a gathering of gay and lesbian athletes, but not exclusively, from France and elsewhere. Martial art, synchronized swimming, basketball, football, wrestling, diving or mountain biking, it has about twenty disciplines. Everyone can register for this event to participate in competitions. It takes place every year at the end of May (registrations must be validated before the end of April) in various areas of the capital. With a growing success, especially across borders, the TIP brought together no fewer than 1 500 athletes from 29 European countries in 2011.

Subtitled "When lesbians make movies", this festival was founded in 1989 at the initiative of the association Cineffable which aims to promote women's cinema. It takes place every year in front of an exclusively female audience. More than 50 films are presented each year. The projections give place to debates on lesbianism and feminism. More than 1,500 women participate in conferences, workshops, debates and concerts. Among them, directors, artists and visual artists hold stands and present exhibitions. 24th edition of the festival: from Wednesday, October 31 to Sunday, November 4, 2012, Théâtre de Ménilmontant, 15 rue du retrait - Paris 20e.

It's an annual event that leaves no one indifferent, including non-believers! Indeed, when the Indian community of the 10th and 18th districts celebrates Ganesh, the elephant-headed God, protector of the home, who brings luck and prosperity, the rendezvous is very colourful! This traditional and lively parade is accompanied by musicians, dancers and rituals. It takes place in the district of La Chapelle, which, for the occasion, changes completely: thousands of people invade the street, and it is just impossible to get around! If, on the other hand, you are a pedestrian and passing through, then take the time to watch this show that is worth the detour!

On October 2, 2011, the birthday day of Mahatma Gandhi, and proclaimed by the UN International Day of Non-Violence, were some 2 000 beginner and confirmed yoggistes who gave an appointment on the Champ-de-Mars to participate in the first White Yoga Session. Improbable but true: forgetting the chaos of public transport, the rush of queues, and the stress of their everyday life, these Parisians, all white dressed, shared a moment in all zenitude. They attended a 1 hour 30 hour yoga course given by Elena Brower, the coach of stars (Gwyneth Paltrow, Eva Mendès), with which to spoil the Eiffel Tower in the background. Sportforus, the community sport site at the initiative of this gathering, announced its wish to renew the event. To register and participate in this completely free session, register on their website. The number of participants is limited.

With more than 12,000 visitors, it is the largest Parisian appointment of fishermen and professionals of fishing. This lounge celebrated its 15th edition in 2011. For the 2012 edition, which is held February 17th and 18th, the lounge from the Porte De Versailles exhibition centre to meet Parc Floral. Guides of fishing, assemblers of flies, importers, vending machines, dealers, travel agencies specialising in fishing destinations in France and the world, specialized press, clubs and associations, collectors, representatives of the associative sector, everything is there. For two days, we also speak eco-tourism of fishing, the management halieutics environments and environmental protection. A major pal for tourism fishing.

The Rendez-vous at the Gardens created by the Ministry of Culture and Communication invites you to discover public gardens as private, most often animated by special visits or meetings, under a theme changing every year. Exhibitions, singing towers, readings, stands, meetings with gardeners, architects, landscapers or artists are the three days.

Toymania, a celebration of antique toys and collectible advertising items, brings together renowned exhibitors, rare toys and thematic exhibitions. It is the essential French meeting place for toy lovers and collectors, and is usually held in December on the premises of the Palais des Congrès: sale, purchase, exchange, everything is possible! A world full of joy, colours and memories. The event is expected to take place in December, but at the time of writing, we do not have the exact dates!

On 27,000^m2, Kidexpo is the biggest family event of the year. For five days, parents and children, professionals and private individuals will be able to meet in the themed villages which will bring together fun and educational activities and entertainment for the occasion. This year, children will be able to try their hand at snowboarding thanks to the miniature snowpark run by Burton Snowboards, eat all kinds of food thanks to the cooking workshops, discover water courses in the company of the French national team swimmers, meet the stars of the comic strip with Yakari, Garfield or Ducobu who will be roaming the exhibition aisles, and finally our little ones will also be able to try out the new toys that will be coming out for next Christmas. For parents, ideas and good deals on their daily life will be delivered to the parents' corner and the best products will be revealed during this Kidexpo. A must in the field of games and toys!

Paris is world famous for being the city getaway, we particularly thought of them for the choice of this walk. Go therefore with the pont des Arts, in the 6th district of the capital, symbolic place of the Parisian romanticism. Then take over the management of the Institute, then walk along successively quai de Conti and quai des Grands-Augustins towards the island of the City. Cross the bridge Saint-Michel, then take immediately on the right, quai du Marché-Neuf, to the famous Notre-Dame cathedral. Then take rue de la Cité to quai de la Corse, then turn left towards the Clock tower. Make a crystal by the flower market Louis Lépine, open daily from 8:00 to 19:00, then take quai de l'Horloge to the public garden of green Marie-galante, your full stop.

Everyone knows Montmartre for its basilica, which is one of the favourite monuments of tourists. But do you really know all the nooks and crannies in the neighborhood? Those that are much less well known and, in fact, more authentic. No ? So come on, we'll take you there... At the start of the Place des Abbesses, head first towards rue André-Antoine. Forget about the reputation of the place and concentrate on its maze of quiet alleys: aren't they worth the detour? Then go to the Place de la rue Ravignan, from where a pleasant view of the Parisian rooftops awaits you. The mansion on Junot Avenue will then be your third stopover; enjoy a little of its gardens before heading back to Lepic Street. Do you recognize this place? This is where Amélie Poulain's famous café is located! The walk is then almost finished... If you like, go and quench your thirst at the Marlusse and Lapin bar, or at La Fourmi : the places are friendly and fit perfectly into this discovery tour!

A real playground, the Bois de Vincennes has everything to celebrate the sportsmen confirmed as grass joggers, for all tastes and levels. In addition to its 3 km cycle cycle, its cavalier track and its outdoor football and rugby fields, the park has two health courses. According to your mood and shape that day, therefore choose for the short version (its 1400 meters and its 14 gear usually spoil the beginners), or for the long version, more intense with its 2400 meters and 18 gear. On track!

Welcome to the Bois de Boulogne, in the 16th arrondissement! Here, even the most allergic to physical training will find a shoe on their feet! Because in addition to its 14-kilometre long hiking trail, its bicycle path with the same mileage and its 28 kilometres of bridle paths, the Bois de Boulogne also includes a quality sports trail. Starting from the place known as the "crossroads of the Five Roads", its 2.5 kilometres are divided into 19 stages equipped with equipment, and form a motivating loop. And if you don't find this course, then you can run a few kilometers anyway to sweat a little in the woods!

Three kilometres, 1h30 walk, and the guarantee of an informative walk to discover the Les Halles district. You begin your journey in front of Saint-Eustache church, often considered one of the most beautiful in the capital. If you like, a visit is in order; Louis XIV celebrated his first communion there. You then head towards the Banque de France, then towards the Palais Royal. Built at the beginning of the 17th century under the impetus of Richelieu, it was later inhabited by the Sun King, who donated it to his brother in 1692. The building was then extended. Today and since 1875, it has housed the Council of State. Further on, the Palais de la Bourse and the Opera House will complete and complete your tour.

It is perhaps one of the most chic green spaces in Paris. Monceau Park, with its three centuries of existence, has undergone many upheavals since its creation in 1778. Today, only a few original elements remain, like its Renaissance arcade, its Corinthian colonnade, its rotunda and the Chartres pavilion. Stroll along its paths under the shade of the trees that line them, and slowly head for Place Saint-Augustin. Your journey is only 3 kilometers long, but you can of course shape it at your leisure, by extending it on one side or shortening it on the other. Excellent for young parents, this circuit is fully accessible to strollers.

Starting from the Arc de Triomphe, this itinerary invites you to discover part of the Chaillot district, the wide avenues and the rich mansions built in the 20th century under the leadership of Baron Hausmann. On your journey to the Trocadero, you will meet here and there several consulates and embassies that have taken possession of the place, but it is perhaps the museums that are the most numerous here. Housed in the Palais de Tokyo, the Musée d'Art Moderne de la Ville de Paris can be an interesting option to combine the pleasures of urban walking with those of culture, unless you prefer the Musée de la Mode de la Ville de Paris, located in the Palais Galliera.

What more impressive setting than the Grand Palais for this outstanding event, whose beauty echoes the extraordinary flavours you can discover there? Because Taste (we preferred an English theme here), these are days of meetings with great chefs, learning culinary techniques (or more simply making good snacks or cakes, for example), meetings with shopkeepers or craftsmen (just to fill up with food) or even relaxation, provided that the wonderful champagne bar that was present last year is renewed this year. Different pricing formulas are possible.

Event set up by the daily newspaper Le Parisien, the Paris Paradis festival takes place in the Parc de la Villette. For three days in September, different stages host various and eclectic events: different performances, workshops, meetings and, of course, music. On the bill last year? M, Patrick Bruel, Pete Doherty, Charly Winston, Alex Vizorek, Thomas VDB... In short, we laugh with comedians, we dance during concerts, we learn to recharge our batteries, and children are not forgotten with dedicated workshops. Let's bet that the 2023 edition, whose preparation is in progress, will be just as successful!

A new race for a good cause! 1 out of 3 people in the world do not have access to toilets and 1,000 children under the age of 5 die every day from diseases related to the lack of toilets. On the occasion of World Toilet Day (United Nations Day), the Urgent Run will take place in France in Paris.
It is a solidarity run to raise awareness about the urgency of the situation in the world and to raise funds for sanitation programs.

It is urgent to act, so let's run together in the same direction on Sunday, November 14th in the Bois de Boulogne.

Usually held in June, the Garmin Triathlon de Paris is the very last major sporting event in the capital before the Olympic Games. It begins with an aquatic event in the Bassin de la Villette. Then it's on to cycling, with a circuit of the capital starting and finishing at the Villette. Finally, the run along the Canal de l'Ourcq on a flat course. You can choose between Olympic or shorter distances.

The event is generally regarded as a dress rehearsal for the marathon, which takes place a month later. Many are those who attempt it. It forms a circuit, from the Pont de Sully to Bastille, making a vast loop through the Bois de Vincennes and returning along the Seine for around 3 kilometers, past some of Paris's most beautiful monuments. The only downside is the need to register well in advance, and the crowds of tens of thousands of participants!

In 1950, the Salon de l'Automobile, du Cycle et des Sports moved from the Grand Palais to the Parc des Expositions de la Porte de Versailles in Paris. After much discussion about the future of the motorcycle section during 2017, the Mondial de la moto has finally been renewed from 2018, in conjunction with the Mondial de l'auto and the Mondial de la mobilité. This not-to-be-missed event takes place once every two years, and the next edition will be held in 2025.

The Parc Floral de Paris, in the Bois de Vincennes, has been hosting the Salon Moto Légende since 1998. This event is dedicated to vintage motorcycles. It features vintage machines, a trade fair, professionals, clubs and museums. In all, 400 exhibitors and 500 motorcycles retrace over a century of motorcycle history on the 12,000 m² show floor. Events and prize-giving ceremonies are also organized during this not-to-be-missed event, which brings together two-wheeled and vintage enthusiasts.

The Tour de France Automobile created in 1899 is the ancestor of the current Tour Auto. The modern version, organized by Peter Auto, is called Tour Auto Optic 2000. The 250 to 300 vehicles leave from Paris (Grand Palais) each year, in the Competition or Regularity category, with also races on circuits and stage cities where the spectators can admire the mythical vehicles. The route changes every year. It is the oldest competition event still being held. Vehicles that participated between 1951 and 1973 can take the start.

Monthly cycling

It takes place on Saturdays at 2pm, once a month (appointment in front of the Bastille Opera House). Organised by the vélorution, it is a convivial cycling event that highlights themes in line with the values of the association (air quality, the place of cycling, climate etc.)

The event has been held for over 30 years, and ritually takes place at the start of summer, forming a long parade of festivities and demands that stretches from the right bank to the left bank. Although there was some doubt about the date (too close for some to the start of the Olympics), the authorities confirmed that, as every year, the Pride March would be held at the end of June. Floats on which dozens of revellers wiggle and waggle, broadcasting sounds, often electric, behind which tens of thousands of people dance.

Retromobile is the essential classic car show held every year in Paris at the beginning of the year. This show, created in 1976, is the second largest classic car show in Europe. More than 1,000 vehicles are present, as well as many automotive professionals, exhibitors, clubs, attracting more than 100,000 visitors each year. Retromobile is also appreciated for its auction, allowing to survey the evolution of the classic car market. An event not to be missed by collectors!

It's a must-attend event in March, here and everywhere in France! Le Printemps des Poètes is an event that encourages everyone to send poems to friends and family, or to read them: an excellent way to discover, or rediscover, this musical style! Numerous events are taking place in theaters, museums and public spaces in and around Paris. There are also storytelling tours for children, and encounters with poets in numerous libraries.

Next September, for the 3rd date of this national rendez-vous sport, the Parisian animations will take place on the bassin de la Villette. At the initiative of this operation, the Ministry of Sports, the French National Olympic and Sports Committee and the Association des Maires de France set themselves the objective of promoting sports activities among the general public. In practical terms, it is an opportunity to engage in new practices: Nordic walking, archery, bowls,… but also to exchange with health and dietetics specialists.

The 100% football show for all round ball enthusiasts! Every two years, in the spring, Galaxy Football becomes the indispensable meeting of football players for three days. Open to all audiences, the event is the occasion for debates, meetings, and animations, with football stars and large media personalities. The 7 th edition in 2014 will bring Brazil to honour, host country of the next World Cup.

In March, expo-selling in the walls of Espace Japan of the Wafu collective, creators of Japanese crafts eager to make their work known. The first edition took place in 2011.

Each year, a sale of Nippon handicraft and unique parts. A broth of Japanese Creators to discover in this festive period, made in collaboration by Jipango and the Ideas Japan newspaper.

It is the largest cheese factory in France! This new millennium, which was born in the new millennium, brings together producers from all over France, and some from abroad, will present their little wonders on the stalls of the 2012 exhibition. 160 exhibitors and 6 000 visitors are on schedule. The opportunity to review your AOC, but also to get to know small farmers. 

This is the first Parisian organic show of the year, an indispensable exhibition, a pioneer of the theme and always developing with the same friendliness. Conferences, amations, baby space…

 

Launched in the early 1990s, this festival, originally called "Paris Quartiers d'été", has since been renamed simply "Paris l'été". The festival transforms the capital into an open stage, with over 300 artists on the bill. Dances, concerts, acrobatic strolls, travelling opera, musical theater, circus, performances of all kinds, shows... a rich and eclectic program that enlivens every district of Paris, and even the regions. Cultural and artistic events for all generations.
