It is a mythical place that host performances of great jazz artists, starting with Art Blakey on the evening of its inauguration in 1981, followed by Chet Baker, Stan Getz, McCoy Tyner, Dexter Gordon, Dizzy Gillespie and many others. In the beginning was New Morning ... from Geneva. With a lot of success in Switzerland, the founders of this club decided to open a new one in Paris in old print shops. It maintained its loft style decoration. New Morning has contributed to the revival of lively jazz music in the capital. Its great advantage is its direct link between musicians and its audience. Over time, it became open to blues, rock, song, world music and many orchestral of modern African or Latin American music. There were unforgettable moments here like when Prince took the habit of coming to play in front of a handful of fans who were amazed during his performance in Paris. The Jazz Club Lionel Hampton at Hotel Méridien became Etoile in 2009 after renovation. Since 1975, he has hosted traditional jazz orchestras, blues and rhythm blues in a very comfortable environment of three hundred places. Organised by the Creation Laboratory, the monthly evenings "J 4 ZZ" give musicians the opportunity to translate new ideas into complete freedom. Pianist Yaron Herman opened this appointment in September 2009. Every Thursday of the month, jazz is honoured, like the Mélomania cycle, devoted to classical music since 2006. The aim is, of course, to bring jazz to new audiences (young audiences, novice public audiences…) thanks to free concerts in the festive hall, while allowing free meetings between musicians of jazz and improvised.

Since its opening in 2011, Le Duc des Lombards has become the protector of the jazz in the capital. Thanks to its exceptional acoustics (undoubtedly one of the best in Paris), the "Duc" attracts all great soloists and orchestras of international jazz scene. The restaurant space welcomes fans of jazzy melodies, and it is Alain Alexanian, starred chef, who is on the piano. The afternoon swings between exhibitions, meetings and debates.
