The Fontaine Victor Hugo bookshop is no exception to the rule and stands out in particular for its selection of works. The booksellers in the shop apply themselves in order to propose sharp and modern references at the same time, far from clichés or boring books. Julia and Alice, at the helm of La Régulière, brilliantly run a well-known store in the neighbourhood. La Mouette rieuse isn't just a bookshop: it's also a concept store, offering not only a café-restaurant but also a gallery, and from time to time, the funny bird transforms itself into a convivial place where you can take part in wine or local produce tastings! Comme un Roman…(Like a novel) This is how Karine Henry's adventure began. Located next to the Marché des Enfants Rouges, this book shop benefitted from a spotlight when its founder published a successful first novel: La Désoeuvre. This is not about giving up everything, she continues her bookselling job about which she is excessively passionate. In the shelves, you can find everything: French and foreign literature, detective novels, theatre, poetry, history, human sciences, comic book, always with a special selection for Christmas and summer. With nearly 18,000 references in stock, you won't finish scouring the shelves! Despite this evocative name, this bookstore is not a travel bookshop: no tourist guides between these walls. The shop is not very big but is well equipped and contains a good general selection. Independent, it offers in shelves French and foreign literature, social sciences, philosophy, poetry and history. If you like classical music and books, you will be offered an excellent welcome, also for movie lovers! Children have a dedicated section with albums and comics. Finally, Anglo-Saxon literature also has its place on the shelves.

The Jonas bookstore celebrated its 60 years in 2017. In this changing neighborhood, she resisted all the storms and maintained his militant vocation against winds and tides with here and there changes of crews. Since its opening in 1999, this bookshop has kept its free and rebellious spirit: you will find in its shelves novels, essays, but also children's literature, science fiction...
