For more than 20 years, this small, friendly neighbourhood bookshop, nestled in the heights of Montmartre, has been welcoming beautiful souls and offering beautiful literature. The favourites are put forward, as well as those of the regulars of the place. It is also difficult to resist the pleasant atmosphere that reigns in the evening, during meetings with authors. Generally speaking, one comes here to a place that is a little out of time, and that is good news. We highly recommend it.

A TOUT LIRE

A nice bookshop, that the Petit Futé team likes very much in the heart of the 20th arrondissement of the capital. The small entrance looks a bit like the one of an old cinema, and when you enter the place, what a nice shock: books everywhere, very long shelves, easy to access. The choice is very wide (literature, school, human sciences, comics...) and your most difficult research will not remain without answers. You have here a fast ordering service, and an offer of research assistance, very practical when you are a little lost.

FNAC PARIS - TERNES

One of the most beautiful Fnacs in Paris if not the most breathtaking! One remains in admiration in front of the place invested by the famous chain of cultural products which has established itself in a large Art Deco building whose curves and canopies in glass and wrought iron recall the most beautiful hours of architecture in the early 20th century. With its rotunda and dome, once used by department stores in the spirit of "Happiness of the ladies", here a 1912 vintage, Fnac des Ternes is a curiosity. Once the door is opened, the extraordinary emerges: shelves of books, DVDs, tickets, high-tech products and even high-end small electrical appliances... in a place where the eyes meet Belle Époque stained glass windows by Jacques Grüber... You should not hesitate to visit this Fnac, and especially to climb the floors to admire these architectural masterpieces in an exceptional state of conservation. We will flatter the time saving with all these products gathered in one place where we can come back to hesitate, especially for the beauty of the place. And of course, meet your favorite writers or artists for signing sessions organized throughout the year.

Fnac is a national reference in the world of great cultural distribution. Founded in 1954 by Max Théret and André Essel, it has not always been the cultural temple we know today. Originally, the principle was simple: the creation of books for individuals so that they get discounts from the merchants listed. In order for all domains to be represented and the photo signs did not wish to participate in this list, Max Théret and André Essel create their own Photography company. It is important to note the enormous success of the latter and the large proportion of frameworks that contribute to it. The idea of giving a more cultural dimension at Fnac germe in their minds. The National Procurement Federation becomes the National Procurement Federation. The first store opens in the 60 s, Sevastopol boulevard in Paris. Culture then tends to become democratic and the products proposed are diversifying. The librairie was created in 1974. Now very complete, we find all the domains of publishing, from cooking manuals to tourist guides through literature, humanities, beautiful books, etc. It is therefore almost impossible not to find the book you are looking for. If this is the case, one of the booksellers will be happy to order it. As you will have understood, "Fnac: we can only join '!

Literary enthusiasts are often unaware of this, but the birth of this institution was the result of a literary journal founded in 1908. After more than a century of existence, Le Divan remains a reference in terms of seriousness and quality. The 430 m² space is composed as follows: literature on the right, humanities on the left and the meeting corner with the authors behind the lounge area. We appreciate being able to let ourselves be guided with confidence! The old mezzanines gave way some time ago to an airy and cosy space with club armchairs, sofas, carpets, table football - yes, yes - and bar with coffee machine. A very nice place!

We know Voyageurs du Monde for its trips off the beaten track or to dream places, as well as its agencies which alone give a taste for adventure. The address at 55, rue Sainte-Anne used to offer a small selection of books to help you prepare your trip. From now on, Voyageurs du Monde has opened its own bookshop at 48, dedicated to travel, just opposite the eponymous agency. The setting, chic, sober and warm, is worth a visit, with its central spiral staircase as an invitation to travel... On the shelves, literature to prepare your trip, to escape at leisure, to immerse yourself in other lands - it's magical, without a doubt. Travelogues, guidebooks, adventure stories, children's tales from all over the world, texts by the great explorers of yesteryear or contemporary, and even recipe books from the four corners of the globe, the choice is everywhere, the selection rigorous. Comic books are not forgotten, with the best authors of the genre exploring. The advice is present, with 4 passionate globe-trotters who will be happy to guide you in your reading. More than a simple bookshop, the Voyageurs du Monde store regularly organizes conferences and meetings with authors as well as exhibitions of travel photography. You can also find original moleskines to write down your memories. As for the little ones, they are not forgotten with a reading corner specially designed for them. On the website, there is advice for readers before going to the bookstore. What could be more practical, after having chosen your trip at the agency, than to cross the road to find all the possible literature on the destination in question, and novels to accompany your journey?
