An important address for travellers from Tallinn, as it is located on the road from Tallinn to Rīga. It is always full due to its location but also its pleasant surroundings. In the beautiful wooden house surrounded by a garden where a few games have been designed for children, a self-service based on the principle of the Lido restaurant chain. Choice of raw vegetables, traditional Latvian dishes and desserts. It's good, practical, fast and cheap. On the outside, many wooden tables are installed on a still perfect lawn, a small artificial pond where ducks are barbotent, parking is not far away.

Jauna Saule, or New Sun, is known to locals for its excellent café. It includes a bar, a restaurant, a pleasant terrace for sunny days and even a children's corner upstairs. The place is very pleasant, with its mismatched armchairs and warm, cosy atmosphere. The service is pleasant. The food is varied: soups, salads, pizzas, pastas and good desserts. Cocktails and wines by the glass. A place you'll love, where you'll feel right at home. Wifi free of charge.

Café-restaurant popular with locals. It's a pleasant place, with a few outdoor tables for when the weather's nice. You can stop in for a coffee or hot chocolate, or for a bite to eat or a drink at the end of the day. The menu is varied: fish and meat dishes, salads, hamburgers, soups and more. Pleasant, fast service. Good value for money. Wide selection of coffees and teas. As for the location, right in the center and less than 5 minutes' walk from the castle, it's simply unbeatable.

This café-restaurant is located in front of the Sigulda train station. You can find homemade pastries and cakes, but also salads, soups and Latvian dishes... The dishes are copious, you don't feel hungry when you leave! It's as beautiful as it is good. It is a very good surprise, and we highly recommend Mr. Biskvits. Good value for money. You can also come in the morning to have breakfast with fresh fruit juices, pancakes, eggs, porridge... Everything you need to start on the right foot!

It's a bit of a showstopper in Cēsis, since the restaurant is located at the very top of the city's concert hall, in rooftop mode. The result is an almost 360-degree view of the surrounding area. The decor is very Art Deco lounge, with velvet armchairs, light fittings and brass objects... Perfect for cocktails (which are well-balanced, it should be noted). To eat, a short menu offers snacks, simple but well-executed dishes and a few desserts. A special feature? You'll always find a dish cooked with mango! Reservations are recommended.

Let's set off to discover Latvian cuisine, but revisited by two talented young chefs. Here, the ingredients are local, the cuisine changes with the seasons, the presentation is impeccable and it's obviously a treat: fish, meat and vegetarian options make up the menu. Let's start with pan-fried yellow beet with whipped goat's cheese and seeds, followed by duck fillet, potato galette and beet ice sauce, and finally, chestnut cream, quince meringue and marinated plums, all in a setting reminiscent of a country house.
