Read moreThe origin of the Metropole circus goes back to… 1880. In 1989 René Roquier decided to go back to this traditional circus. A musician from the conservatory, he is a white clown and then a galas animator. The beginnings are modest, but over the years its circus of 300 places is moving towards a large top of 1,200 seats, becoming a regional circus of Brittany and going to travel along the roads of France. The whole family invests, Nicole the wife of René Roquier to management, their son Pascal is juggler, clown and especially trainer of fauves supported by his wife Nathalie, herself dressing and acrobate. The brother-in-law is trapezist and horse trainer. Since 1998, the team has set up its chapiteau at the edge of the Broceliande forest and set up a wildlife park with exotic animals, island and pond to ducks, fauves, horses and ponies, chairs… picnic area, playground and bar. You can spend the day in this natural and wooded site of 10 ½ hectares, both leisure park, wildlife park and circus, with a nature course, discovery of exotic animals and activities related to circus arts.
