The site, separated from the national road by 6 km of sugar cane plantations, can be reached from the town of Lugazi by tree-climbing enthusiasts. The whole is ultra basic, as are the sanitary facilities and the camping area where the lawn shines by its absence... Possibility of lunch and dinner on order.

In a quiet area, the Sunset Hotel has 68 rooms. The reception, the facade and the corridors are undeniably lacking in colour and charm. Most of the rooms are fully-equipped and enjoy views of the Nile and the New Jinja Bridge. The New Daniel offers simple but clean and equipped rooms (shower room, Internet connection...). Lovers of vintage should not remain insensitive to the outdated charm of the televisions, which have obviously not been changed since the opening of the hotel at the end of the 1990s... A few tables and chairs are set up outside the building for a drink or a snack. A relatively cheap address compared to other tourist establishments in the area. Good reception.

2.5 km from downtown Jinja as the crow flies and 8 km by car, the Kingfisher is located in Bukaya, on the opposite bank of the nascent Nile. The resort has rooms with half a banda each, which does not guarantee optimal privacy. For the rest - apart from the restaurant's cuisine, which is not always up to scratch - the site is pleasant. The beautiful swimming pool, surrounded by folding chairs under thatched umbrellas, is the end of the end of the establishment.

On the left bank of the Nile, about 5 km downstream from the Bujagali Dam, The Haven is - as its name suggests - a small haven of peace with a sublime view of the Nile and its rapids. A swimming pool with deckchairs, children's games, bandas and bungalows of excellent workmanship, some of which are decorated with interior murals, hammocks and terraces for idly gazing at the serpentine river, good food and a plethora of activities are just some of the things the lodge invites you to bite into...

Renovated at the end of the 2000s, this classified establishment is one of the best in the city. In addition to the pleasant and well-equipped rooms (mosquito net, air conditioning, refrigerator...), the hotel has, among others, a vast garden in the middle of which the water of the swimming pool sparkles, a wellness area (gym, hammam, sauna...), a lounge next to the restaurant and a miniature golf course. In the absence of the Grande Boucle, pedal enthusiasts can hire the hotel's little queens to visit Mbale by calf strength. Good food and a warm welcome.

Located 150 m from the main road, in the small village of Sipi, this establishment offers wooden huts, without primer, to which are attached, under tin roofs, private WC and shower. The dormitories, spartan, are a little far from the common sanitary facilities: beware of slippery stairs after the rain. Completed during our visit, the brand new hammam and apartments should be open to guests when you have this guide in front of you. The hotel also has a swimming pool (accessible to people not staying at the hotel for 10,000 Ush per day for an adult and 7,000 Ush per day for a child), a restaurant and clean and pleasant rooms equipped with mosquito nets, television sets, etc. The Mansion has a large swimming pool, a restaurant and a restaurant. Rental of camping equipment (tents, floor mats, sleeping bags...) and hiking equipment (raincoats, boots...). The kitchen is, in addition, quite good. Rose, the owner, is always happy to give valuable advice on how best to enjoy the surroundings and their natural and cultural attractions.

The Nile Porch is undoubtedly the most chic address on the Bujagali website. Panoramic view of the Nile, greenery and wildlife are some of the attractions of this establishment with clean and pleasant accommodation (small private porch, warm decoration...). The pleasant and refreshing swimming pool as well as internet access are included in the rate. Very honest price/quality ratio. The Black Lantern restaurant is also a little marvel! Finally, the house offers many activities, especially water activities.

Opened in 2001, this well-maintained hotel doesn't look a day too old. Once uncommonly located west of the city centre, 300 metres west of the main road leading to Jinja, the hotel has 79 cosy rooms, many of which overlook the beautiful patio pool and the restaurant on the edge of the patio. A fitness center and the organization of excursions (Sipi Falls, rock paintings of Nyero, Wanale Ridge...) will spice up your stay even more. Friendly welcome and good value for money.

This is undoubtedly the most popular place of Mbale for bazungu volunteers! The rooms, some of which are distributed on either side of a central covered space, are not distinguished, except for the most expensive, by their decoration. However, they all have their own bathroom and a mosquito net. The plus of the Casa? It is undoubtedly its roof terrace where it is good to have a drink. Safaris are also organised by Casa Uganda Safaris, whose information and booking office is located near the reception.

Palace? With regard to the two buildings that make up this establishment, the name is a bit hyperbolic, even presumptuous. The building, a little faded, which houses the reception, has a few rooms equipped (TV, shower, WC, air conditioning, refrigerator) but without any charm. The second building is more recent and its rooms have a balcony; therefore, prefer the latter. The very good point of the Nile Anchor is undoubtedly its bath garden with its palm trees under which tables and three swings are installed. Good reception.

With its relaxation area (hammam, massage parlour...) and beauty salon, the Al-Nisaa hotel is ideally located in the heart of the city. Rooms are clean and equipped with TV, fan, refrigerator, bathroom and wifi connection; the most luxurious rooms also offer a tea service. Those overlooking the street are a little noisy, but this is within reasonable limits. The dishes and fruit juices served in the restaurant are generally very good. Excellent reception.

With its 130 rooms - clean and equipped, but without primer - the large Brisk building does not arouse excessive enthusiasm. Many of the rooms overlook Lake Victoria and its fish farms; choose them to enjoy the delicious breeze that sometimes blows in from the lake and a hint of calm .
