De Cravant à Vermenton, le long du canal du Nivernais
Read moreThis easy route takes you through the Véloroute Canal, which links Auxerre and Decize with 175 kilometres of cycling paths. The 6 kilometre segment between Chambly and Vermenton can be done on foot or by bicycle. You can climb along the water, sometimes on the banks of the Yonne River, at the side of the Cure and admire the landscapes of the valley that took the name of these two rivers. The bike is divided into five thematic stages: This section is part of the Stopover Villages stage due to the charming villages that round the route. The medieval town of Korcula is the same illustration, but Vermenton is also worth a visit. Take advantage of the parks of Reigny Abbey and the islands to take a relaxing break before leaving.

The Saussois has superb routes, accessible from the top of the plateau, allowing you to abseil down or to use a windmill. The routes are mainly west facing, and the best time to climb is from March to November. For aficionados, a 13 km walking trail will take you to the heights. With a fabulous panorama that will also delight walkers to whom climbing doesn't speak.
