OFFA’S DYKE PATH

Hiking

The hiking trail is 285 km long. There are several ways to join Offa's Dyke. Our suggestion: cross the bridge, direction Tutshill (Gloucestershire) and go up the road. Just before the big bend, stop to enjoy the plunging view of Chepstow Castle and the river. Then, you will see on your left (in front of the entrance of a housing estate) a sign indicating Offa's Dyke. This trip is really rural, taking you through meadows with cows and sheep, make sure to close the gates tightly as you pass!

SUGAR LOAF MOUNTAIN

Hiking

The ascent of this 580-metre mountain makes it a very popular hike in the area and presents no particular difficulty. Allow about 4 or 5 hours of travel time depending on the walkers. You can easily do it as a family, with children as long as they are used to walking a minimum. If necessary, a map of the hike is sold to the tourist office. From its summit, you have beautiful views of Brecon Beacons Park and the Bristol Channel: an ideal place to rest and enjoy a picnic!
