Designed by a lover of the sea and board sports, it's the coolest address in the area, as cool as the surfboards that grace the decor, the photos of kitesurfing and sailing, and the beautiful old pirogue transformed into a bar. In the courtyard and mezzanine, it's the kingdom of salvage: from hats and ceiling lights to cagettes and beanbags. The menu is in harmony with the setting, unpretentious but copious, inspired by Mauritian and Italian cuisine (pizzas). Several evenings a week, the already cool place comes alive with the music of local bands.

Thanks to its success, the little takeaway food store, so well placed facing the beach, has become a snack bar in its own right, with chairs, tables, umbrellas, a semblance of a sheltered terrace... all cheerfully painted in blue, yellow and red, in the same spirit as the tin stalls lining up in front of the soccer pitch (coconuts, juice, candied fruit...). Here, you can sip a cold drink and/or gobble down one of the local street food classics: boiled mines, Creole-style white rice, chicken curry, upside-down bowls and more.

It's a little grocery-café just the way we like it, respectful of the environment and short supply chains, and offering mainly bulk products to limit two of the problems of our time: waste and over-consumption. You come directly with your jars (or buy some on the spot) and fill them with seeds, dried fruit, cereals, not forgetting Laetitia's delicious preparations: crêpes, homemade breads, sugar-free dried fruit, tomato-pesto-avocado sandwiches, etc., to take away or enjoy on the spot with a coffee, a fresh juice, a smoothie...

French retirees on a long stay in the area as well as vacationers looking for authentic local addresses swear by it! For years, this popular canteen has been delighting customers with its simple and tasty dishes based on super fresh products: boiled mines, fried rice, onion fritters, seafood stir-fry, octopus salad, meefoon broth, etc. Of course, the setting is not very nice and the wait is sometimes long because of the success, but the service is smiling, the quality-price ratio is excellent. And it's so good!
