Things to see and do Fujian 福建

It is a natural lake known as "Lake of the Nine Carp". Legend tells us that 2000 years ago nine brothers would have tried to prepare a nectar to become immortal. They would have succeeded and became immortal on the backs of the lake's carp… hence the name.

This 2 872-km long course takes its source in the Wuyi Mountains, located between Fujian and Jiangxi provinces. The Min is the largest river in the Fujian with a 60 000 km ² watershed and has given its name to the province, also called Min.

From Fuzhou and up to its estuary, 50 km, the Min is celebrated for its unique beauty and served over the centuries as a pretext to construct sumptuous architecture still standing today: the Golden Mountain Temple (Jinshanta Si), the Five Tigers gate (Wuhumen), the fort of Minjiang (Minjiang Paotai) and the famous port of Mawei (Maweigang).

The site is fully furnished, with routes marked to indicate walks. Walks offer beautiful views of the city. A mandatory exit for those who want to air your mind!

On your way, you can discover a predominantly virgin forest with surprising vegetation. The diversity of flora and fauna will delight nature enthusiasts. All your senses will be awakened: colors, odors, bird songs… A real haven of peace! You may have the chance to cross hawks, partridges, cats still protected. Reptiles and amphibians may be able to see giant salamanders or spiny toads. A real puff of nature.
