Things to see and do Crimea

In the south of the city, the park extends from Hotel Oreanda. From the monument Maxim Gorky, you can walk along the alley leading to Lito Hotel, which even has a bowling alley. In this park, in a pretty building in the midst of shady alleys, the health centre of the city.

In 1887, Church leaders in St. Petersburg agreed to leave a small land with a «Cafa» home if a church was built there. The city's citizens then offered another ground to build the grand temple of Railway.

In 1890, the temple received a copy of the Old Testament. At the beginning of the th century, the stone cathedral was built instead of the wooden temple. The temple opened its doors in 1943.

A seaside resort east of the Bear Mountain. Archaeologists refer to the human presence in the surrounding area since the stone age. The village of Partenit is mentioned in writings depicting Greek history dating from the th century. The village became the centre of an anti-Kazars uprising in the th century led by Bishop Ioan Gothic. One legend tells us that the relics of the latter, died in Asia Minor, returned by a miracle in Partenit to be buried in St. Pierre and Saint-Paul temple. At the time of the construction of the road in the th century to access the village, the ruins of the Basilica of the Holy Apostles were discovered. We found the soil in mosaic, the remains of foundations, walls and a tomb that was supposed to be Gothic, even if it was empty then. Despite this rich history, Partenit now resembles a modern seaside resort. If you do, don't forget to climb the Ayu-Dag mountain, a beautiful natural reserve.

A pleasant park located in the southwest of the suburb of Aloushta is within walking distance. Around 1880, many doctors, scientists and researchers established their dacha in the park. This is how the garden acquired the name of the "Corner of Teachers". The gardens were built around their houses and the seaside was built to welcome visitors. The beach has become a particularly pleasant place to bathe and enjoy the sun. Today most of the old dacha have been bought by the state and are transformed into a health centre.

Located at the foot of Mount Demerdzhi, a few kilometres east of Aloushta, this valley owes its name to the strange atmosphere that reigns there in the evening. The black mountains then leave clouds of fog. At the top of the mountain, the wind and shadows often reveal, according to the premises, a woman's silhouette. Because of the wind and erosion produced by sand, the rocks in the valley are spectacular and, indeed, resemble statues of human characters.

To visit the Ghosts Valley, you can take a marshroutka from the Routière bus station to the village of Luchistoe.

They will see objects from the daily life of the Tatars as well as ceramics, amphorae and documents uncovered during archaeological excavations in Aloushta.

The concept is quite sinister: that animals stuffed! There is also a large collection of insects and minerals from Crimea, but, for a few more euros, you can make a guided tour of the nature reserve, which is perhaps more fun. As part of the museum, the zoo houses animals in the area, such as sheep, deer, bear or fox, goose, or even an island exclusively reserved for swans.

Dating back to 1819, this temple, like most churches in the region, was razed by the Turkish invaders. It was at the request of Tsar Nicolas II, visiting the region, that it was rebuilt in 1912.

It is a perfect example of medieval architecture. Paintings representing Jesus Christ and the apostles were still visible in the late nineteenth century. Today this temple has been restored.
