CARNAVAL

This month marks the beginning of the carnival season and on the Costa Brava, three destinations are renowned in this area. The one in Tossa de Mar is spread over 6 days and offers many festivities: oyster competitions, concerts and gastronomic tastings with, as a climax, the Friday night carnival dinner. In Roses, the festivities begin with the welcome procession of the king "Carnestoltes" and end on Monday with a big popular rice meal and fireworks. In Platja d'Aro, it brings together more than 40,000 extras (70 different groups).
