The owner, Georges, takes great care to ensure impeccable, professional service. The cuisine is top-notch and very good value for money, given the dishes on offer. Once again, a special effort is made to combine traditional recipes with a contemporary approach. An establishment that has won praise far beyond Lindos' borders.

In the world of Kallithea, there are the hallmarks of mass tourism on the one hand, and the rare temples of luxury or simple authenticity on the other. The thermal baths and the Elysium are the epitome of luxury, while the Noble restaurant has become a destination for fine dining. On the wonderful terrace overlooking the bay, young chef Spyros Kougios concocts elegant, complex dishes, even daring a few forays into molecular cuisine orchestrated by his mentor, chef Troumouchis. Dimitri and Flora, the owners of this tasty restaurant, have settled in one of the oldest captain's houses in Lindos. The building dates back to the very early 17th century: admire the traditional pebble mosaic floors. The restaurant has a good location: opt for an outdoor table on the terrace overlooking the citadel and the acropolis. It's so romantic! Traditional flavours, seafood dishes and fresh local fish. Excellent homemade desserts too, and a very good wine list.

Plates that smell of southern Italy, simple and authentic. Thin-crust pizzas are baked to perfection, and pasta dishes will satisfy hearty appetites looking for something other than traditional Greek cuisine. You'll also find a wide variety of Italian charcuterie. All served in a friendly, unpretentious family atmosphere. The portions are generous and the produce is fresh - what more could you ask for? Undeniably one of the best addresses in the area, especially with the younger crowd.

We come to this good inn to eat, drink, chat, snack, listen to music and certainly have a good time. The dishes are really delicious and the choice is varied: there is the whole range of Greek cuisine. We come here in the morning to have coffee and breakfast (tasty bougatsa), and we stay there until late in the evening to share mezzedes (very good honey feta cheese) or more elaborate dishes. Small addition, the establishment has a few rooms on the first floor, pretty and very comfortable.

This beach restaurant was recently opened on the headland of the famous Anthony Quinn Bay. People come here to share mezzedes with a view, to take a coffee break in the shade between swims or to sip a cocktail at the end of the day. The location is idyllic, of course, but the cuisine is no slouch either, remaining above average compared to other establishments of its kind with the same trendy, boho chic look.

There are fewer than 30 year-round residents in Vati, fortunately untouched by the fires of 2023: Kostas and Toula have been offering delicious, traditional, high-quality cuisine for many years. We come here off the beaten track and away from mass tourism to enjoy a quiet lunch. The ingredients are incredibly fresh, and the dishes are prepared with taste and simplicity, without hiding behind superficial frills. Just ask for the katsikaki, a delicious kid with lemon. Vegetarians will be delighted too. Everything is homemade!

This chic, luxurious restaurant offers top-notch Mediterranean and Greek cuisine, admittedly more expensive than the average in Lindos (itself inflated in the village's restaurants due to the influx of tourists), but well worth it for the quality of the dishes and ingredients on offer. You'll appreciate the sober decor, which gives way to the traditional architecture of the whole place: the pebble mosaic floors are magnificent, as are the views over the rooftops. Reservations are essential if you want a table after 6pm.

Greek and international cuisine in this family bistro brasserie as you love them. You are especially recommended for meat, which has made the restaurant reputation. Inside, you will see a collection of Greek plates and dishes. The pleasant terrace overlooks a small square with archaeological remains.

Akres opened a few years ago in a beautiful traditional building that has been magnificently renovated in a sleek, elegant contemporary style. The house prides itself on bridging the gap between tradition and the avant-garde, right down to its kitchens, which offer classics of Rhone gastronomy, successfully revisited by chefs who dare to mix new ingredients in a thoroughly modern approach. The result is a gastronomic experience of the highest quality, all in a sumptuous setting with a view of the Acropolis to boot.

It's a well-hidden treasure nestling in the rocks of the peninsula that juts out to the south of the Kallithea thermal baths. Far from the high-rises and resorts, this summer shack spreads out its few tables in the shade, overlooking the infinite horizon of the Aegean. On the menu: a limited menu that reflects the freshness of the dishes offered in the kitchen. Treat yourself to a few mezzedes and grilled fish, sheltered from the world. No loud music, just a few good-value deckchairs and you're back to the simple pleasures of Greece, far from the crowds.

One will come to the restaurant and wine bar of the eponymous hotel, notably for its impressive cellar which aligns a beautiful selection of 170 Greek wines, including some orange wines. This traditional kafeneio has been installed in the New Market since 1946. Today, it has been taken over by the granddaughter of the original owner, who has given new life and dynamism to this historic establishment. We like to come and sit in the shade to have a good breakfast in the morning (omelettes, toasts) over an iced coffee, waiting for the arrival of the day's fishing. The extra-fresh small fish are grilled or fried for lunch and are simply served with a little fava or eggplant caviar. That's what happiness is all about after all!

Overlooked by the rock of the Acropolis, this beach establishment spreads out its tables and deckchairs over the small bay of Saint-Paul, south of Lindos. The setting is exceptional, which explains the inflated prices (especially for deckchairs rented by the day). But the quality of the place is no less high, with a tasty menu, a boho chic aesthetic that's been all the rage for the past few years, and the opportunity to swim and dine in one of the island's most beautiful spots.

The village of Apollona lies about halfway between Eleoussa and Prophitis Ilias, about 10-15 minutes by car, below the forest mountain. This farming village is home to a little gem of Rhodian gastronomy: the Paraga tavern. Housed in a former club for Italian officers, this traditional tavern offers local cuisine, prepared and cooked the old-fashioned way (wood-fired) with locally produced ingredients.
