Then there's the ambience of the place, which is hushed and quiet when the restaurant is open, then gradually transforms into a rooftop bar. The dishes are not to be outdone, well-crafted and elegantly served, not to mention the exquisite cocktails. The establishment is run by Théo, a former DJ, which explains the permanent presence of a DJ at the turntables, and special guests on Fridays and Saturdays. A great place to eat or party.

One of the best restaurants in Lindos, it sprawls over three floors, but you won't be disappointed by the climb once you reach the top: the view of the Acropolis is memorable. Preferably go there at dusk and enjoy the panorama from the rooftop. The dishes are not disappointing either: we recommend that you share with several of the mezzedes. And yet, don't give up too quickly because your patience will be greatly rewarded! One of the only restaurant options on Ladiko's bays is the tavern on the first beach. Nothing exceptional, sometimes even of mediocre quality as is all too often the case under the pressure of mass tourism, but you'll be able to break the fast if you need to. Given the monopoly of the place and the tourist crowds, expect the tables to be full for lunch. Most people come for a coffee break in the shade, between two swims.

Michalis and his family run L'Olympia and its sublime roof terrace, overlooking the entire city, from where you can admire the ramparts of the fortress, the acropolis and the sea. Mediterranean cuisine inspired by Greek and Italian culinary traditions - Michalis' wife is from Italy. The homemade wines are very correct. It is not necessarily easy to find, as always in the maze of Lindos: from the main square, go to the church of the Virgin Mary, then to the right and always straight ahead towards the amphitheatre.

The reputation of the Mavrikos restaurant is well established: it's known all over the island, well beyond the limits of Lindos. David Gilmour of Pink Floyd used to eat here when he visited the village. This pretty restaurant stands in stark contrast to the more touristy spots in the main square. This family, in the kitchen for over 75 years, offers a Rhodian cuisine with innovative touches - not necessarily inexpensive, and a little disappointing of late... But the course has been maintained. Also worth noting is the wide variety of vegetarian dishes.

One of the most famous seafood and fish restaurants in the old town. As always when it comes to fresh fish, it's not cheap but the portions are generous and the quality is high. Choose the fisherman's tray to share, or a selection of dishes, also to share, including the excellent saganaki of mussels or shrimps. It's delicious, and the setting, facing the ruins of Sainte-Marie-du-Bourg church, is the icing on the cake!

This mezzedopoleio is renowned among Rhodians, despite its touristy location, which might put them off. So follow their example and pay no attention to the crowds in the vicinity: here you can enjoy ouzo and mezzedes with your eyes closed. Everything is excellent, but unfortunately in recent years the service seems to have deteriorated, with a sometimes hostile attitude towards tourists. It's a pity, because the food is still delicious. So treat yourself, but be vigilant about your orders, and take the time to study the menu.
