10 minutes from Gavros in the direction of Ano Fellos, this restaurant is famous throughout Andros for its meat and grilled meats. Dimitris Kossis, the original farmer, opened this tavern more than 15 years ago and since then the whole island has been crowding it, despite its location in the open countryside. He continues to raise cows and sheep, from which he makes delicious cheeses and tender, delicious meat. Vegetables are also grown in his vegetable garden. Try the lamb chops, to accompany fried zucchini or a good saganaki.

Next to the church of Choros, this tavern offers typical dishes and a really tasty home cooking. Definitely one of the most successful restaurants in Andros: Greeks and tourists alike meet here in a somewhat kitschy setting to explore a limited menu, which is always a good sign to taste authentic cuisine. Delicious pasta with local sausages, hand-rolled dolmades and a homemade pita with soft Andros cheese. All masterfully orchestrated by the owner, who pays attention to everything!

Despite all the suspicion that can inspire establishments too close to the landing stage, this "crêperie" is a good surprise. We just add quotation marks because the offer, as often in Greece, goes beyond with burgers or daily dishes (from pasta to carbonara to mushroom risotto, through cheesecakes) very suitable. Ideal especially for breakfast or a snack while waiting for the boat. Also on the menu: scrambled eggs or club sandwiches, and of course pancakes, with excellent service.

An excellent family tavern as we like them and a real hidden gem! Pleasant environment, clean, well maintained, fresh, with a small playground for the little ones and with parking. In a cool courtyard near the beach, you can enjoy a homemade eggplant salad, a traditional filo pastry pie and local meats. The menu is very varied and offers high quality Greek classics. Service is prompt and attentive. The house usually offers sweets and fruit at the end.

More chic atmosphere, excellent service and original flavors. In the pedestrian area of Andros, this modern restaurant is off the beaten track of traditional taverns. The menu is limited and very well thought out, ranging from seafood pasta or shrimp risotto to smoked pork chops with mushrooms and generous salads. The vounisia (a variation of pasta a la carbonara with local ingredients) is interesting. As it is located in the center of Chora, it is advisable to book your table in advance.

This establishment is very good and has nothing to envy to the gastronomic restaurants of Athens. You will find original and very well executed recipes. Grilled sardines with caramelized onion, squid with basil pesto, roasted cherry tomatoes with Andros grilled cheese: the menu edited by Maria Tiniakou and prepared with her husband and chef Dimitris Gigini contains delicious and imaginative dishes. We had great salads and soups, not to mention desserts. Whether it's for lunch or coffee, you won't be disappointed

This is a gourmet restaurant combining modern and traditional Greek cuisine with some of the best seafood on the island. It is a little more expensive than elsewhere, but you will not regret it. You can enjoy a beautiful view and the owner's taste for local products from the Cyclades and all over Greece. The menu consists of some classic "mezzedes" and other more daring combinations of seafood dishes, meats and cheeses. Call to reserve a table, otherwise you have to wait.
