ORAIA SIFNOS - LA BELLE SIFNOS
Read moreThis restaurant at the entrance to Apollonia offers its customers typical Greek dishes, grilled meats and pizzas. While the menu is extensive, the products are fresh, of good quality and the service is authentic, as is the tavern's almost kitsch interior decoration. If you come here, it's not just for the traditional, home-style cuisine, it's also and above all for the exceptional view from the terrace and garden of beautiful Sifnos under the vine-covered arbour, with a small glass of house wine in hand.
O SIMOS
Read moreSince 1958 and three generations ago, Simos has been the place to come for fresh fish caught every morning in the waters around the island. The à la carte menu includes fresh squid from September to June. The waiters are friendly and give good recommendations. Some meats are local and come from the family farm. Mastelo and chickpea soup are other Sifnos specialties. The good news is that prices here have remained reasonable despite inflation.
NUS
Read moreThe dishes are inspired by typical Sifnos dishes, but the aim here is not to repeat the classics. With the help of his close-knit team, Alexandros is trying to reinvent and finally create the future of a traditional cuisine that lacks inventiveness. Try eggplant salad with pomegranate and feta seeds or salted cheesecake. The products are fresh and of good quality since it is Alexandros' father who grows them on his farm. He also organizes very interesting tours with tasting.
DOLCI
Read moreThe magnificent shaded terrace of the Dolci overlooks the western flank of Kastro, offering the ephemeral epicurean sitting at his table a remarkable view and tranquility. Kastro is a unique place, but the jazzy atmosphere and the dominant position of the Dolci will make you discover it from a different angle, sunny, calm, soothing and of course gourmet. Salad 7 martyrs (in homage to the church of the 7 martyrs of Kastro), fresh mussels with orange sauce and flower petals, revisited pasta and risottos, or homemade ice cream.
OKEANIDA
Read moreThis is a small, quaint, family-run tavern, run by the friendly French-speaking Anastasia and her parents. You can eat a simple and delicious traditional cuisine, all with your feet in the water. You won't be disappointed with the trip and this little stopover. Moreover, the service is personal and friendly, and the prices are low. Useful note: if an ingredient is missing, the dish is not served, which is an honest guarantee of freshness. We could direct you between land and sea, but here everything is good, so bon appétit!
