Baho Vilma is a family-run business with three restaurants in Masaya (one near the municipal market, another near the artisanal market, and a third near Los Leones park) specializing in baho, a typical Nicaraguan dish based on meat, plantain and manioc. Other local delicacies include vigorón (a salad of cabbage, boiled cassava and chicharrón) and chancho con yuca (pork with cassava). All accompanied by a variety of drinks, and at very low prices. Not to be missed!

In this restaurant, located a stone's throw from the artisanal market, you can dine on delicious Lebanese, Mediterranean and Middle Eastern dishes. Shawarma, grilled meats, hummus, large platters of skewers to share... there's an embarrassment of riches to choose from, and everything is of the highest quality. Have a cup of black tea too. Gourmets can round off their meal with a cinnamon baklava.
