From the lookout next to an obelisk erected in memory of the supporters who died during the Second World War, an unforgettable panorama of Lake Narač opens. With its 41 km of coastline and a surface of 80 km 2, this lake is the largest in Belarus. Its coasts are flat, usually sand, and thus rich in beautiful beaches surrounded by wood. Here you can bathe about 100 days a year, the water is crystal clear and in July its temperature is on average 19 ° C. In the north-eastern part of the lake there is a small romantic island. The location is very tourist and rich in hotel facilities, especially in the seaside resort of Narač. Please not confuse this station with the village of Narač, located a few kilometres from the lake. On the beaches you can rent bicycles, boats, catamarans and everything necessary for water skiing.
THE MOUNT OF GLORY (СЛАВЫ СЛАВЫ)
Read moreLocated 20 km east of Moscow, on the motorway leading to Moscow and the airport, this imposing 70 m monument dominates the countryside around Minsk and is visible from a distance. Inaugurated in 1969 to glorify the victory of the USSR on Nazi Germany, it was erected on an artificial hill built using the land brought here of Soviet heroes, villages liberated by the Red Army and the main battlefields. On this hill rises a obelisk composed of four bayonets symbolizing the four fronts opened by the Red Army to liberate the country. Beside the obelisk is a ring decorated by the faces of soldiers and supporters and by inscriptions to the glory of the red army. From the top of this hill opens a beautiful panorama on Minsk and its countryside.
