Opened in 2017, La Petite Cour has established itself as the best table in Majunga. Chef Cabillaud worked at Terres Blanches, a true restaurateur as we like. A beautiful presentation, appetizing dishes and an extensive wine list to offer a European-style cuisine inspired by the fresh products available. To know, the restaurant exhibits and sells the works of Emilie Blue (www.facebook.com/emilie.blue.artist/), the artists of the area often deposit works to Christophe (who does not take any commission on the sales).

Very good restaurant in a nice setting, by the pool. Half-cooked red tuna with sesame seeds and wasabi, lobster carpaccio, duck breast with honey-ginger sauce, grilled fish fillet with coconut or massala sauce, sautéed shrimps with vanilla sauce, pierrade (with foie gras, a great moment!) and fondue bourguignonne... Malagasy dishes and Lebanese specialties of quality as a bonus. Every Friday evening, live music with the succulent "gourmet menu" deserves a reservation! To be recommended without moderation.

Established since almost ever in Majunga, this typical restaurant is always full. It is a delight for lovers of French cuisine reworked in the Malagasy style, with dishes such as teal in wine, skate in black butter and seaweed with all kinds of sauces. The food is good, and it's here to stay! Everything is good, from the starter to the dessert. Madame Chabaud is also a hotel: she offers about thirty rooms for small budgets just a step away from one of the most animated markets of the city. We highly recommend her annex on Katsepy!

The restaurant at the lovely Karibu Lodge hotel is undoubtedly one of the best you'll find in Majunga. In addition to its panoramic view of the sea, it offers a very fine, varied menu with tastes that alternate between land and sea: seafood salad, grilled fish, zebu à la bourguignonne and the must-try, camaron tails with pink berries... A must-try: a late afternoon aperitif, just as the sun is about to disappear over the horizon. A highly recommended address!

Run by Alex and Clément, two ex-rugbymen, Le Guest, ideally located facing the sea, offers renovated and comfortable rooms in the background. The establishment attracts its share of regulars in the morning for breakfast and at lunchtime, for an aperitif and a meal that sounds just right. Slate menu. Good point for the new potatoes and the delicious home-made fries. The raw fish Tahitian style, the duck with olives, or the grouper filet with voanjo sauce... are not bad either. The rooms are real good deals for tight budgets. We like it !

A true institution in Majunga! Unfortunately, the charismatic Karon who embodied the Majunga of old left us in January 2019. The adventure continues with brio however! In what remains an address not to be missed in the city, one comes to feast; seafood, game and Chinese specialties of reputation!), one can also sleep there (24 ventilated or air-conditioned rooms with sea view), and one can even organize hunting and fishing trips (for the amateurs of the kind). The establishment was renovated in 2017.

An emblem in Amborovy! Restaurant/shack on the beach, offering an excellent cuisine, copious and affordable: shrimp crisp, breaded nymphs legs, grouper filet with capers, kidneys with old fashioned mustard sauce, home made chocolate mousse (a must)... In short, a varied menu, and a great fridge! Beautiful sunsets, with a caipirinha of course! Moreover, the wifi is free. And don't worry, grandpa with his big white beard doesn't complain so much... the beach is maintained moreover!

Two or three tables on the terrace for this cheap Malagasy snack. Jeannot Mec, originally from the highlands, cooks pork in his own way, and everyone comes to enjoy it! The kebabs, with the organization of parties, are another of his specialties. Every Friday evening, it is a cabaret atmosphere; it must be said that Mr. knows a good number of artists of his region. In short, a lively place where it is good to spend the evening, we recommend.

Here is a very small restaurant, on the side of the road, where you can come and eat on the go, without fear for your stomach. Here everything is simple: the menu is minimalist (a dish based on rice and meat, another based on noodles, all accompanied by soup). A room opening on the backyard, a small terrace: it's a perfect place to stop on your way. It's simple, it's good and there are no nasty surprises. In addition, the view is breathtaking on the cemetery, with the numerous animals coming to walk there...
