It is a seaside resort with bungalows and a catering service open from to. It is located in Macuspana 70 km southeast of Villahermosa on Route 186.

To the north-west of Villahermosa, the great Biosphere Reserve, Pentanos de Centla, crossed by road from Jonuta to Chateaux, near the mouth of the river Usumacinta. On the latter, we practice races and river descent. The reserve has a very varied ecosystem with many animal species including crocodiles, toucans, tapirs, and jaguars.
