CANTINA LA COYOACANA
Read moreWe really like this traditional Cantina, which also offers good food. The atmosphere is always relaxed and warm. Locals gather here for a friendly family time, helped by the great drinks menu. Concerts are often organised, and the place even has its own mariachi trio! Authentic atmosphere guaranteed in this Cantina just a stone's throw from the Plaza Hidalgo. Another asset of the place: it has a pleasant open-air garden at the back of the bar.
SALÓN TROPICANA
Read morePlace where you dance mainly salsa on Caribbean rhythms played by a group.
LA OPERA
Read moreWe love this restaurant-bar that has kept its late 19th century decor and is full of history. At the time, this place was frequented by various personalities, including the president Porfirio Díaz. For the little story, Pancho Villa, wanting to make feel the power of "those from below", entered La Opera on horseback and shot a bullet in the ceiling! During the revolution, Zapata also passed through here with his soldiers. It is advisable to have a glass of tequila (the specialty of the house), in the evening, but peacefully... Beautiful.
CAFECITO DEL BILLAR

SALÓN MALAFAMA
Read moreThe name of the establishment literally translates as "saloon of ill repute". Nothing to do with reality since it is an emblematic pool hall of the city. It has more than a dozen billiard tables, so you won't have to wait too long (but try to come before the evening starts, especially from Friday to Sunday). The industrial setting is nice and up to date. The place also hosts magnificent exhibitions of photographs by well-known authors. There is, of course, food and drink.

CINNABAR
Read moreThe name of this bar with stained glass in red comes from the word Cine (Cinema, the Cinéma cinema is right beside) and China (China, for the Red). This lounge bar with metallic decoration offers Chinese dishes.
Place very connected and very busy on Thursday, Friday and Saturday. It is not uncommon to see thirsty people trying to go back in vain, glued onto the glass, attracted by this giant red neon (what find!). The speciality of the bar is the Martini cocktail.
