Located just opposite the marina, this is one of Praia's trendiest bars. Live concerts and disco (upstairs) every weekend. DJs come to set the decks alight, and you can set the dance floor alight. You can also dine here, with a lovely view of the sea. The food is rather simple (sandwiches, snacks...) but the prices are reasonable. It's the ideal place to spend a good time with friends, have a drink, have fun and enjoy the scenery. If you want to party, the Blues Bar is for you.

Throughout August, numerous bullfighting shows - the famous touradas a corda- take place in the island's many villages. Even if you're categorically opposed to this kind of event, don't miss it, as the popular fervor is intense throughout the performance and, what's more, it's quite comical. (An important reminder: the Portuguese - and therefore the Azoreans - do not execute the bulls at the end of a bullfight). If you're lucky enough to be in the Azores at this time, it's a must-see.

For those who prefer to escape the (over)activity of Beira Mar, this colorful lounge bar overlooking the beach is a good option. You can also grab a bite to eat, tapas or hamburgers for example. The menu is nice. The cocktails are particularly good, with a thousand and one flavors. Wide choice of whiskies. The atmosphere and staff are very friendly. A charming wine bar right in the center of town. Tastefully decorated, the room is as warm as the waiters! The stone walls and wooden furniture make it feel like a real wine cellar. The friendly staff speak good English and offer excellent advice. All you have to do is let yourself be guided through the rich selection of local wines. The menu is very well thought-out, and includes Belgian beers and tapas for nibbling. The products are rigorously selected, and you absolutely must try the hand-cut black pork ham!

It is one of the busiest pubs in the marina, and for good reason: it is one of the official bars of the university. The atmosphere is meant to be Cuban, but all kinds of music is played, as long as you can dance! Numerous events are organised throughout the year: karaoke, theme evenings, concerts... You can refresh yourself with a glass of wine, a beer or a cocktail. It is a must if you want to go out and have fun on the island of Terceira. The team is young, dynamic and friendly.

It is one of the official bars of the University of Angra do Heroismo. As a result, after the workers in the morning and the high school students in the afternoon, the students meet there in the evening to chat, have a drink and why not a snack - the kitchen being open until 11pm in the summer. Dishes of the day are offered daily. You won't be partying there until the end of the night, but the snack bar O Bifas is an excellent place to start the evening in a young and good-natured atmosphere. There's always a good atmosphere.
