Recommended by all the locals, Kelso's is often referred to as the best pub, but also the best restaurant in the area. It was declared Scottish pub of the year in 2013 by CAMRA and for good reason, it produces five beers itself on site and offers eight beers from other breweries. The food is classic country food, with burgers, fish & chips, salads, steaks, magpies and pasta. As for the atmosphere, the clientele is raw and the playlist does not disappoint. And as for the place, it's an old post house!

Marmions is a family run Scottish bistro where colourful paintings watch over the panelled room. On the plate, the terroir is to its advantage, with pork, chicken, venison, fish or risotto for vegetarians. For lunch, sandwiches allow you to have lunch on the go, but always with a Scottish touch (haggis sandwich, caramelized onions and cheddar, or Scottish smoked salmon sandwich), and always with the soup option. The children's dishes will delight families. It is also available at breakfast or tea time.

This restaurant-bar close to the port logically offers many flavours of the sea - including a seafood platter to be shared by two - but also burgers, risottos, meats and even pizzas. His recipes are inspired by Scottish and Italian gastronomy and the choice is rather varied. Like the mix of cultures, try the Mama Oblò pizza, with haggis and blood sausage, or pork balls and haggis with parmesan cheese. You will eat there at all hours, from breakfast to dinner. A delicatessen section also stocks products for sale.

Set in an early 17th century hotel, this popular pub offers classic Scottish food. The first part of the establishment is reserved for the bar and there are some paintings of local scenes. The restaurant is at the back and is furnished with lots of light wood and a veranda. A good address for a beer, as for a meal, since everything here is local, fresh and home-cooked. A beer garden welcomes you in fine weather. The establishment, very lively, broadcasts matches and sports competitions.

This excellent restaurant, voted French Restaurant of The Year in Scotland in 2018, with its dark and contemporary décor is quite chic but affordable and casual. The recipes are inventive overall and every detail counts, from the service, to the presentation, to the water which is flavored with violet. Every plate has its own multi-sensory experience! The dishes are superbly prepared with very good ingredients. The staff is very smiling and there is also a bar area.

A modern and authentic restaurant in an establishment whose tradition of restoration goes back to 1711.... It's already a promising start! The place is welcoming, and the cuisine is exclusively local, seasonal and homemade, by chef Kenny Coltman. You will have lunch or dinner with a view of the Tweed River. Everything here is simple, affordable, friendly... There is a grocery store where you can find the best local specialties, or enjoy scones and pies with tea.
