Hiking Lot-Et-Garonne

Éape on the road of Santiago de Compostela (GR 652), the commune of Moirax is a high place in the religious history of France. At the beginning of the priory, this 6,7 km hike proposes to walk in the footsteps of the pilgrims. Take the time to admire this 100 th century building, whose construction by the clunisien order lasted over years, before embarking on the trail. It winds in the woods before crossing the river of Jorle and then passing through its other arm, the Toumbade. You will continue under the trees along the river, until you go back to Moirax. On the road you will find views of the castle of Las Boubées and the valley of the Garonne.

From the Bonaguil commune, this 9,3 km loop can be done on foot (3 h) or Mountain bike (about 1 h). It takes you to the Découverte Castle, classified as the Main Site of Aquitaine, and the GR 36 which links the ancient Périgord and Quercy provinces. It is by climbing to the castle that the trail begins, offering the possibility of a break to visit it before filling in the woods. The rest of the circuit is mostly located in the forest, with beautiful views of the Thèze valley and the castle. You will meet on the road several pigeonholes that deserve a stop.

The "Marguerite" makes you walk around the town of Nérac by offering you 5 different loops, one of which is 4 km long. It is a golden opportunity to discover the region with your family, accompanied by the youngest and the not so young, because the walk is of a level accessible to all.

From Villeneuve-sur-lot, this family-run hike will take you to discover the many trees and shrubs in the region. An ideal route for children and parents! Secured oxygen in the heart of pleasant spring landscapes.

Long but easy, this loop crosses the moors of Saint-Cyr, Bellevue, Pouchicaut, Luxurguey or Piquemousque, among the many patches of forest in the vast commune of Allons. You pass the Largenté farm before entering the Landes. From bevelled lanes to grassy paths, from sandy tracks to stone paths, under pines and oaks, over bridges over streams, past a dovecote, the route is particularly bucolic.

This 17.7 km, 4.5 hr hike, with its 390 m vertical drop, is ideal for sports enthusiasts and offers a variety of landscapes. You'll hike along the hillsides between the Landes forest and the Garonne valley. You'll come across woods with dovecotes, meadows with Blondes d'Aquitaine cattle, cornfields and panoramic views of Casteljaloux and the Pyrenees on a clear day. You'll see ruined churches and two well-preserved ones: one with a wall steeple in Veyries, the other with a pointed steeple in Sainte-Gemme-Martaillac.

This short, easy hike (with a cumulative elevation gain of 200 meters) covers around ten kilometers and offers pleasant climbs and wide panoramic views over the wooded expanses of the Gascony hillsides. On this itinerary, which alternates between grassy and sandy tracks, gravel paths and asphalt driveways, you'll come across a pretty old farmhouse, take a ridge section, pass a charming stream, come across the Château de Malvirade, enjoy a view of the village of Bouglon in the distance... A varied and attractive hike. Allow 3 hours' walk, 1 hour 30 minutes on horseback, 1 hour 10 minutes on mountain bike.

This hike is characterized by an itinerary that offers some very fine views and is divided into two parts. At the start, there's an out-and-back path that takes you through a wood, past a hedge, then a stream and up the hill. You then take a loop to the Esquerdes church, surrounded by vineyards, woods and orchards. You return along a pine forest. This 8.2 km hike (3h walking, 1h mountain biking) is easy, varied and bucolic.

From the church, follow the blue markers on this transitional trail between the Garonne river landscape and the Landes massif. An easy 10.4 km itinerary (2h45 walking, 1h45 riding, 1h20 mountain biking). Take slightly sunken dirt tracks, cross a wood, skirt a hedge, cross a stream, climb a wide grassy track lined with ditches to reach Millasseau and its viewpoint over the Garonne valley from Marmande to Tonneins.
