BLACK BOY INN
Read moreCertainly the oldest building in town, the most picturesque pub. This is where you meet all the locals and fishermen who will be delighted to make fun of the English with you! The pub takes its name from Jack, a black slave captured in Africa and who landed in Caernarfon in the mid-18th century, probably the first person of colour to be seen in Wales. As in the fairy tales, he married a Welsh woman and they had many children (seven)! We eat very well at this address. Really, it's worth it!

In summer, you can take advantage of the pleasant tables set up in the garden. If the wind isn't blowing, you can take your time sipping a drink and eating a bite to admire the superb view of the bay and château. Try fish & chips, lamb or a burger. Nothing exceptional in terms of cuisine, but it's a very pleasant place to have a good time.
Y SOSPAN
Read moreVery good restaurant and tea room. The building dates from 1606 and was once a reformatory. The place has a special atmosphere and to reach the restaurant on the first floor, you have to go through the old prison gate! For the meal, you'll fall for crab cake or fish pie. As a dish, try a meat with lamb or chicken for example or try the very good goat cheese soufflé! For dessert, choose pudding, crème brûlée or chocolate cake or simply Welsh cheese.
