Altos de Yerbabuena welcomed its customers for a long time in its small restaurant located on the road of the archaeological park. Change of scenery in 2022, direction the hostel Masaya, under the superb maloka of the inn, at the edge of the Magdalena canyon. The cuisine remains the same, healthy and tasty, with fresh and organic ingredients, and recipes from the region or from much further away. The dishes are well presented and good value for money. A good supply of wine and excellent coffee. Highly recommended, both for the setting and the food.

One of the finest gastronomic experiences in the country. Rafael Buitrago's masterful cuisine pays sublime homage to Santander's traditions. Together with his team, the Chef works with local produce and sublimates it through technique. In the kitchen, a symphony, in the plate, poetry where risk-taking is great but hyper-mastered. Here, goat's cheese is confit and roasted, hazelnut butter is scented with sage and walnuts or with ant, and beet is smoked. For dessert, a moving tribute to the Chef's grandmother. It's worthy of a Michelin star.

A nice change from traditional local cuisine. It was set up by Chantal Guerin, a friendly Swiss-born chef who has lived in Popayán for some twenty years. The welcome is warm and the service excellent. Chantal makes her own soups, sauces and pastas, using only the freshest ingredients grown by Cauca farmers. On the menu, pasta, lasagne, pizzas, rare meats (at last!), and everything is good! There's even fondue if you fancy.

Awarded with the Silver Toque of Colombia, it is unofficially the best restaurant of Popayan. The food is more expensive than elsewhere (while remaining very reasonable when you come with your euros), but also more refined and you can feel an effort in the service. The European opinions are however mixed, except for the delicious beef which is cooked as requested (rare in Colombia), and the ceviche style trout filet. The choice of wine is rather meager. The setting is rather kitsch, with its well-waxed parquet floor and its chandeliers and gilding on the walls.

An excellent choice for breakfast, lunch or dinner. Traditional dishes from the Boyacá and very pleasant prices.

Good Italian cuisine in a welcoming setting. Pasta, pizza and hot fingers sandwiches.

Small French restaurant without pretention, set up by Cédric, a Sétois, former restorer... in archaeology! Change of life and restoration, with this convivial place, with a refined decoration, with a terrace giving on a quiet street of Manila. Onion soup, melted camembert, tuna tartar, beef carpaccio, chicken in red wine, lamb mice, or a good burger for the unconditional. For dessert, crème brûlée, chocolate fondant or lemon pie. Dishes made with fresh quality products. A nice French culinary break.

A good Lebanese restaurant offering oriental specialities, such as hummus, plats, taboulés and falafels dishes. Good value for money.

Located in the Vía Jardín, in the Provenza neighborhood, the OCI.Mde restaurant offers a warm contemporary setting, with a pleasant terrace, to enjoy fusion cuisine made with local ingredients. The chef Laura Londoño has acquired solid experience working in two restaurants with five Michelin stars. She offers inventive and tasty dishes, some of which (beef or pork) require long hours of cooking. One of the best restaurants in Medellín. Prices accordingly and reservations recommended.

A tasty Korean cuisine and an adorable welcome from Young Im Kim, a great traveler who has set up her little restaurant with her partner Camilo, originally from Villa de Leyva. A small warm room facing the open kitchen, and flavors rare in these parts, very appreciable to vary the menus. A nice menu of dishes at very reasonable prices. Lots of options for vegetarians and vegans. Remember to reserve a table in advance, it fills up quickly.

Impeccable service in a painted wood room reminiscent of a cruise ship, decorated with models of sailing boats. You can admire the beautiful view of the valley of Medellín. It is quite expensive, but the dishes are very good, especially the fish. This is a formal atmosphere, a good tone.

The meat is first choice and the wine list is pleasant. Beautiful view of the city, and shows and concerts often take place.

Pretty chic, to the image of the neighborhood. Four different atmospheres… a map with Spanish accents. Book at home. One of the best tables in town.

There is literature alongside the literature, a stone's throw from the University of Antioquia. Choice of salads. Café appreciated by local university Bohemia.

Family framework: Swimming pool, bungalows, sports activities. The table is correct. Los Manguitos also makes a hotel, counting $ 120 000 for a double room with breakfast.

In the direction of the ruins, just after the Hotel Yalconia, here is a good table. Treat yourself to meat, fish and salads. We love the balcony on the back, with a nice view. Service is a bit slow but the wait is rewarded.
