A brand-new address in Mariehamn that has been very well received by the locals: Me Gusta Burgers. Ideally located on the town's main street, this small restaurant (with an upstairs dining room and terrace) offers fine burgers at very reasonable prices. Whether you choose the halloumi, blue cheese or crispy goat's cheese variant (yes, yes) - and don't hesitate to get some sweet potato fries with it - it's a treat! In short, with smiling service, we simply love it (and recommend it, of course).

A good twenty kilometers north of Marienhamn, this is an address you need to know to go there (but saves many people, including hungry cyclists). Here, you can enjoy pastries, but also (and above all) tasty pizzas, cooked by the family in the back room. The decor is as old-fashioned as it is charming - you'd almost think you were in a London tearoom. Locals flock here as connoisseurs, and the crowd is divided between the dining room and the huge terrace. An ideal stopover during a day's travel!

Sushi on the Åland Islands? Yes, but not just any sushi! At Marie's, we're talking about sushi made by a couple of young local restaurateurs, who decided to appropriate Japanese culinary codes by seasoning them with Finnish touches. The result, simply delicious and quirky, is enjoyed on the plate, after preparation right before your eyes (and with obviously fresh produce). You'll also find delicious, flavorful poke bowls. A surprising address, but well worth a visit!

In a beautiful dining room with comfortable banquettes, the Kallas Stadskrog offers refined, delicate cuisine, with an emphasis on Northern European flavors and, of course, seafood. In keeping with the seasons, the chef chooses to cook Baltic salmon, fresh catches of the day and succulent mussels marinière. There are also house specialties which, in summer, revolve around shrimp! An address with attentive, smiling service that makes for a wonderful evening!

There aren't many places to eat (well) along route no. 3 from Mariehamn to Lumparland, so when you come across Little Bangkok, you might as well make the most of it (especially on a Sunday lunchtime). No Finnish or Nordic food here, but real Asian dishes, organized à la carte or - the most interesting formula - as an all-you-can-eat buffet. Chicken, pork and fish are deliciously seasoned and served with rice (Cantonese or plain). A fine assortment of sauces is available, and coffee is included in the price.

At the level of the Kumlinge marina, stands this small red wooden hotel and its cottages. Pleasant hotel of good standing with a quiet restaurant with sea view and terrace. Its twelve bungalows each have a sea view with a path leading to the church of Saint Anne, a pure delight! And to complete the relaxation, you can also rent the sauna. In the summer, you can go for a ride on the marina, which is often lively and where you can rent a bike. Simple but effective

Located in an old stone house in Mariehamn, the Indigo Restaurant has been there since 2004. This restaurant is ideal for romantic dinners with a menu that favours quality products and does not forget to work on its wine list and other beverages. On the^1st floor, the cosy bar also serves a bistro menu. Roasted salmon and grilled swordfish are recommended. In the summer, you can sit on the pleasant terrace, take your time, enjoy and savour the meal. The reception and service are very friendly but it can be a bit long at times.

Dino's bar welcomes you in the center of Mariehamn, just a few steps from the seafront and Miramar Park, in a slightly secluded alleyway. In the old wooden house dating from the 1860s, you'll find a cosy restaurant and a rock bar with a cool , live rock atmosphere. In summer, you can take advantage of the popular terrace. Here you can enjoy hamburgers, fish pasta and other good-for-you recipes. The dishes are good and well-stocked. There's also a pool table and pinball machines, which appeal to children and the elderly alike!

Located in a former cove, Smakbyn offers a magnificent view of the rustic buildings of the open-air museum. The building includes a restaurant-pub, conference rooms, a distillery with distilling boilers, a store selling Åland products... The restaurant is run by the renowned Michael Björklund, named Chef of the Year. His cuisine is based on seasonal organic produce such as pike, lamb and apples. All inspired by Nordic dishes, with an emphasis on simple, homemade fare.
