Head for... Hong Kong! Below you, not the beach, but an "aquatic" path populated by koi carp, which according to feng shui, bring luck and prosperity to the area. Enjoy the delicacies of Cantonese cuisine, the restaurant's specialty, such as delicious dim sum accompanied, as tradition dictates, by China's finest teas. The establishment also specializes in making the famous Peking duck. During the day, take a break for a cup of tea: the menu is rich and the service excellent.

When you want to enjoy steamed sea bass, crispy beef, grilled shrimps with garlic and above all real Pekingese lacquered duck, there is only one address: the Hung-Wan. These refined dishes typical of Hong Kong gastronomy are prepared here with delicacy and authenticity. As often in Asian restaurants, the welcome is impeccable and discreet. Little extras that are not to be disliked: the view of the lake and Sunday brunches.

AU BRILLANT FAI WONG

Chinese restaurant
5/5
1 review

Run by the Wong family, originally from Hong Kong, Fai Wong offers a wide range of à la carte dishes, including duck served in seven variations: lacquered, with bamboo shoots, with orange... Traditional Chinese fondue is also served, with shrimp, squid, surimi, beef, chicken, bacon, ravioli, mushrooms, cabbage and tofu. The superb antique Chinese-style decor, entirely handmade, may appear opulent, but it blends well with the space and plunges you straight into the atmosphere. The terrace is open in summer.

FLEUVE D’OR

A Chinese adage says, "Anything with legs that is not a table, that has wings that is not an airplane, can be eaten!" This restaurant proves it. Traditional Chinese cuisine offering the great classics such as jiaozi (Chinese ravioli), caramelized beef, fish from Sichuan (a region known for its very spicy dishes), etc. A Chinese restaurant where you will be spoilt for choice between fish, pork and seafood. A trip to the land of Chinese gastronomy, particularly rich and creative depending on the region.

A delicious Vietnamese restaurant and convenient prices, which is not the case at most Asian tables in Switzerland. The regulars recommend Bo Bun. After a fire, the decoration was completely redone, in a rather cosy style with red walls. Nice terrace in summer. The staff is adorable.

Located just off the main road, L'Empire du Dragon is a family-run café-restaurant founded by Hong Kong-born Wong Man-sum. The establishment offers gourmet Chinese cuisine. In the purest traditional Chinese style, you can enjoy duck with spicy sauce or duck with mung sprouts, Peking duck skin with pancakes, and many other specialties. It's a real treat from a family with a passion for the culinary arts. However, prices are relatively high.

LE CANARD INTELLIGENT

This spacious restaurant in Carouge, with its typically Asian decoration, offers traditional Chinese cuisine. The speciality of the place, as its name suggests, is the Pekingese lacquered duck. The menu gives the right to a real ceremony: a duck to be tasted in three courses. First you will be offered the skin to be savoured accompanied by thin strips of leek and cucumber and a delicious sauce, all to be rolled in pancakes, then you will be served the meat first cooked in a spicy Szechuan sauce and then sautéed with soy sprouts. More classic dishes are also à la carte and on order you can also enjoy lobster from the fish tank in the chef's style. The summer terrace is very pleasant.

DYNASTY

Chinese restaurant

Chinese restaurant with discreet decor and reasonable prices, which is rare for this kind of establishment in Switzerland. Dynasty sees itself as a fast-food, but in reality it works like any restaurant and the server comes to take orders. But, unlike a restaurant, you are sure to be served quickly! At lunchtime, clients are mainly employees working in the neighbourhood. On sunny days, you enjoy the large balcony overlooking the square of Saint Francis.
