MARCHÉ DE NADOBA

Market
4/5
1 review

The market is held every Wednesday. It is animated with many sellers of tchoukoutou, this millet beer appreciated by the Togolese that is drunk with a small calabash. One also discovers stalls with manufactured products, foodstuffs, livestock and art objects. The manufactured goods are affordable, while the food and livestock products are much more expensive. The market brings together all kinds of ethnic groups, many of whom come from neighboring Benin. An authentic and interesting experience.

MARCHÉ RÉGIONAL

Market

Every Wednesday is one of the biggest markets in the region, and indeed in the country. The market only comes alive from 11am. Commercial activity is intense and versatile. You'll find a bit of everything: agricultural produce, utensils, clothing and loincloths, butchery. The market is also a moment of relaxation for the locals, who gather under the tchouk sheds to drink a calabash of millet beer and chat the blow. For connoisseurs, at the back of the market you'll find dog meat, sold in portions.

MARCHÉ

Market

A real commercial crossroads for the farmers of the Kara region, the Bassar market is renowned for its many varieties of yams, but also offers many local products and everyday accessories. Located at the foot of a majestic mountain, the market place offers a beautiful and picturesque natural setting. It is pleasant to stroll through its stalls, on a pleasantly paved ground. The atmosphere is at its best in the late morning, but we recommend that you come early in the morning to enjoy the best products.
