L'Atelier Piernès is the story of a brother and sister, Inès and Pierre-Louis Waris-Larmandier, who decided to embark on a rather crazy project, a childhood dream of becoming a "wine artist" like their parents. This is how this extraordinary nursery was born, in the former workshop of a wheelwright and carpenter in the heart of the village of Avize. The Atelier Piernès is a coworking space where young entrepreneurs and craftsmen with their own know-how meet... Artist-ceramist, Inès also offers courses and training courses of turning to initiate oneself to this craft or to improve oneself as well as workshops of modelling for the children from 6 to 12 years.

Xavier Babé, ferronnier, continues here the work of his father who sent him the secrets of this profession. Most of Marne's signs come out of this metalwork! It makes many other things of course, portal, grid, marchioness, window support, property fence, pose. Among its best known achievements in the region is the capsule made for the commune of Cramant, a cluster of grapes of four metres high by the vine trades in Chatillon-sur-Marne, as well as a wrought iron door within which a path represents the doors on the wine and agricultural valley. But the specialty of the Babé are wrought iron signs, all unique pieces! !
