COMMUNAUTE DE COMMUNES OUCHE ET MONTAGNE- CCOM
Read moreSince January 1, 2014, Communautés de Communes du Sombernonnais and the Vallée de l'Ouche have merged under the name "Ouche et Montagne". There are now 32 towns and more than 10,500 inhabitants who joined their destiny. Communauté de Communes develops a touristic logistics at the service of visitors in connection with the Conseil Départemental. There are already 5 picnic areas available to tourists along the Burgundy canal and the road bike. Two hiking trails are registered at PDIPR: the trail of Roches d'Orgères in Fleurey-sur-Ouche and the Mâlain trail departing from the village church. Others are under preparation around Pasques, Lantenay, Barbirey and Saint-Victor-sur-Ouche. An area of car-pooling and a service area for camping-car are created close to the A38 and the shops of Velars-sur-Ouche. The CCOM is striving to develop its reception capacities (cottages, guest room...) and to enhance its major tourist sites. It then continues, in connection with the owners of the Gallo-Roman Mâlain excavations (the State and the archaeological Group of Mesmontois), the development of the Mediolanum site for an opening to the public. This site forms with the museum and the castle, which hosts cultural events, a tryptic that deserves a visit.
