During the tourist season, the watchmaker gives you an appointment every night at 10:00 p. m. before the Guard Corps for his round-time round of sixteen stops. It will make you discover the neighborhoods of the city, with its history of historical anecdotes, traditional singing and small notes of humor. It was also the reason for this municipal employment: monitor the streets and alert the fire. Turckheim's last "real" watchman died during the battles of the liberation of the Colmar Pocket until in 1953, the company of history Wickram decided to honor this character. Today, four of them have taken over and relayed during the tourist season: Jean-Luc Killy, Jean Lihrmann, Louis Meyer and Marcel Sattler.
