The estate produces exceptional wines that are regularly awarded in agricultural competitions. Château Barréjat won a gold medal at the Salon de l'Agriculture in 2020. The madiran and pacherenc du-vic-bilh wines are also cited in many specialized guides. Some of the plots are very old and this exceptional robustness allows us to obtain wines of great quality. Denis Capmartin shapes his vines with respect to tradition and terroir. He produces powerful reds and whites, either dry or sweet.

Domaine Capmartin, it is the work of Guy Capmartin who took again the estate in 1986. Left with 1.5 hectare it gradually extended until the 18 hectares today. The last innovation of this impassioned is a conversion with the organic farming in 2010. A new challenge which bears fruit with in 2011, production of its first raw labeled AB. The strategic location of these vineyards enables him to benefit from Madiran names, Pacherenc of Vic-Bilh, Béarn and Côte of Biscay, as many prestigious names which are added to the quality of these wines. The years, often applauded by the critics, were preceded several times as at Elutriating World Wine Awards or the Old Vineyards in Bordeaux... as many rewards deserved well for grand crus!

Situated on the border of the Gers and the Pyrénées-Atlantiques, this 25-hectare vineyard is in the hands of Alain Bortolussi and produces AOC Madiron and Pacherenc du Vic Bilh wines. His vintages have won numerous awards, notably at the Concours Général Agricole: well-deserved rewards to crown the work of this winegrower who is constantly renewing himself and committing himself to these vines. To discover the Liqueur Wine: 100 % Tannat, prepared with grapes harvested at over-ripeness, perfectly fermented; ample in the mouth with a powerful nose, it is excellent chilled as an aperitif. Finally, Viella Castle hosts events all summer long. All year round you can follow the walk of the Gardens of Aure through the vineyards. A very pleasant walk between tradition and modernity. The walk ends in the wine storehouse, in a recently restored room where you can enjoy a tasting with the owner of the place.

Isabelle, Pascal and Philippe keep this estate alive with its 28 hectares spread over three terroirs. The result is a wide choice of appellations: Madiran, Pacherenc de Vic-Bilh, Saint-Mont and Côtes-de-Gascogne. Reds, rosés, dry or sweet whites, all palates will find something to enthuse about. The wines of the Domaine de Maouriès are regularly awarded in competitions and recognized by specialized guides. You can come and taste them on site and visit the cellars. In the country of Saint-Mont, Plaimont will make you discover wines with a typical Gascon character. Created in 1979 by the association of the cellars of Plaisance, Aignan and Saint-Mont, the name Plaimont is their acronym. In 1999, the Caves de Crouseilles and Condom joined the group, adding to the basket the appellations Pacherenc du Vic-Bilh, Madiran and the IGP Côtes-de-Gascogne. The emblematic "vignerons au béret" have succeeded in preserving a parcel of pre-phylloxera vines listed as a historical monument. It is 200 years old and can be visited.

Here, 18 hectares are dedicated mainly to Petit and Gros Manseng. Cécile, the owner, cherishes both her vineyard and her horses on this sublime estate with its typical Gascon house and stone cellar. Vintage vinegars are made here, and one floor of the winery is reserved for maturing balsamics. These handcrafted vinegars require 3 years or more of ageing in barrels made from carefully selected woods, and are guaranteed to contain no added flavours, additives or preservatives. Domaine Saint-Lannes is a winery located in Lagraulet-du-Gers. Since 1955, the Duffour family has been managing this estate and producing quality wines. The vineyards cover an area of 95 hectares, and Domaine Saint-Lannes wines are exported worldwide. The estate emphasizes respect for the terroir and the use of local grape varieties. The clay-limestone soils produce rich, concentrated wines with a unique typicity. The oceanic climate and proximity of the Pyrenees contribute to the aromatic quality of the grapes. Domaine Saint-Lannes is committed to a sustainable approach, using environmentally-friendly technologies. The estate team is dynamic and qualified, and works in a pleasant atmosphere. Alain Brumont had the merit in his early days of creating a strong image for Madiran and Tannat, the appellation's king grape variety. For over thirty years, this winemaker of undisputed stature has been developing his 280-hectare estate, with an undeniable flair for communication. The underground winery built in 1988 is the first of its kind in the South-West. With 19 different wines, including the famous Montus and Château Bouscassé, Brumont covers the whole range of the region's wines: Madiran, Pacherenc du Vic-Bilh, Côtes-de-Gascogne and even chardonnay and pinot noir.

Located on a promontory surrounded by vines, Jean-Marc Laffitte's cellar stands out in the landscape just like his wine on the big tables. Here the production is ensured in family because the wine grower is accompanied by his children, Ericka and Joris. Multiple awards and laudatory articles in the specialized press have made this production famous. Three types of Madiran and two types of Pacherenc du Vic-Bilh are produced every year, with an excellent quality-price ratio for each one, which is the reason for their recognition in oenology magazines.

This family estate, handed down from generation to generation since 1902, is now in the hands of sisters Brigitte and Corinne Dousseau. They first modernized the winery, then obtained "high environmental value" certification. The reds are produced under the Madiran appellation, and the whites under the Pacherenc-du-Vic-Bilh appellation. Fans of rosé wines like to turn to Béarn rosé. Triply awarded, the Domaine received two gold medals and a silver medal at the Concours Général Agricole in 2022.

At the head of the family domain, which she resumed in 1993, Christine Dupuy combats the stereotyped wines and defends a tradition of tradition that must retain his tanniques qualities. A work that has often been recognised by the specialised press; Gault and Millau awarded him the title of «Vigneron of the year 2010» and received praise in the French Wine Magazine for Wines 2010 and 2011. We will also find the Domaine Labranche Lafont in the heart of the Guide Hachette des vins 2014. It should be noted that the field began its biological conversion, therefore the 2014 vintage and its successors will be certified organic agriculture.

This small estate managed by the Dartigue family, well known in the region, was later taken over by son-in-law François Bouby in 1990. A new generation and therefore new developments, with a few more hectares, a restructuring of the vineyard, a development in the cellars, even if, of course, the winegrower acknowledges that he was trained in the field with the know-how of his father-in-law, which he continues to develop. With one difference: this new operator likes to communicate and get in touch with customers. This is why it is multiplying its commercial approaches to customers, wholesalers, restaurants and wine merchants, and is embarking on exports to Europe.

From the property come out two Madirans, Tradition and Cuvée Fût de Chêne, the flagship nectar of the house, of 90% tannat, recently cited in the Guide Hachette, and two Pacherencs, a dry one honored with a star in the Guide Hachette and a sweet one. An adventure that began almost twenty years ago!

The Brana domain spanned 25 hectares, of which 1,20 pacherenc. It is essential that you dégustiez the late harvest white and a wine composed mainly of tannat produced on the vineyard by Pierre Delle-Vedove and supported by his daughters… including Elodie who gave his first name to a famous Cuvée! We therefore advise you to sample pacherenc 2008. These wines have fruity aromas, bigarreau cherry and black fruits, long in mouth, they will delight your palate. If you are in camping, there is no problem for parking since the area is for free and for the night camping campers.

Christian Termote, passionate about oenology and wine merchant since 1992, does not offer just any wine. He carefully selects vintages produced by independent winegrowers. Above all, he looks for identity, character, originality and wines that have a story to tell. Through his wide range of wines, he shares his expertise, particularly in food and wine pairing. The 500 very Southwestern-oriented references are alongside some 40 Armagnacs, 15 whiskies and rums. Free tasting one Saturday per month.

In Viella, in the Madiran vineyard, the 24 hectares of vines of Château du Pouey are located on the south-facing clay-gravel slopes. The young talented winemaker Bastien Lannusse vinifies Pacherenc-du-Vic-Bilh, Madiran and Côtes de Gascogne wines. For the epicureans, we propose a unique experience in the heart of the South-West landscapes: a bike ride in the Gers countryside facing the Pyrenees, followed by a visit to the chateau's cellar and a delicious tasting of their wines, accompanied by a gourmet board.

This domain no longer counts the medals: competitions in Bordeaux, Toulouse, Mâcon and the Concours Général Agricole de Paris, the International Wine Challenge, the European Masters Competition, the Federation of Independent Winegrowers. The comments of the specialized literature join this concert of praises. A great recognition for this family property created in 1980 on 20 ha, which produces four Madiran and two Pacherenc wines. From now on, Sylvain takes up the path traced by his father, perpetuating a work of excellence.

Founded in 1850, this 25-hectare estate at the gateway to the Pyrénées-Atlantiques region is dedicated to sublimating the Madiran and Pacherenc du Vic-Bilh appellations. It was recently taken over by two young sisters, Claire and Marion Bertolussi. They work in compliance with Haute Valeur Environnementale certification, which preserves biodiversity and limits the pressure of agricultural practices on the environment. The Bertolussi sisters offer a range of 5 wines and a wine liqueur, Tanatis, made like a port wine, but from 100% tannat grapes.

Tradition and follow-up are the watchwords of the house. The Peyrou domain is one of the best known in the region and the reputation of this large exploitation is not usurped. Its 7 ha are devoted to the vine and the madiran, high in oak drum is excellent, from old vines of tannat. If you do a little trick, you will receive a warm welcome and you will not hurt your wallet too much because the value for money ratio is excellent.
