The journey from the city center to the airport takes between 35 and 50 minutes. Bus 86 makes this journey and serves Hanoi Old Quarter (stop at Long Bien), costing 45,000 VND per person. Given the increasingly frequent traffic jams, it's a good idea to leave yourself a comfortable margin of maneuver.

The airport is just a 1-hour drive from Halong City.
