At the Parc de la Pointe des Vergnes, you can enjoy the natural surroundings and observe grey herons, squirrels and wagtails. Stroll along the water's edge, enjoy a bike ride or a spot of fishing, or try your hand at sailing, stand-up paddling or canoeing (hire from the Centre Sportif de L'Isle Verte) in absolute peace and quiet. You'll also find a picnic area, as well as restaurants overlooking the water.

Read moreBetween town and ocean, the Vieux-Boucau marine lake is one of the resort's main attractions. Fed by the ocean according to the tides, you can swim, canoe or paddle around its islet. Enjoy the pleasant 4.7 km-long promenade, easily accessible on foot or by bike, from Vieux-Boucau town center or from the Soustons Plage parking lot. A fun trail to discover the marine lake has also recently been laid out.

Read moreOn the banks of the Dordogne, a Unesco World Heritage river, Pelouse Plage is a recently opened bathing area accessible to all, including people with reduced mobility. There's also a sandbank for children to build their own constructions. The site is well equipped for families with baby carriages. Swimming is supervised in season, and there are floating inflatables to keep both young and old amused. Feeling a little thirsty? Don't hesitate to visit the bar at Les Batailleurs campsite.
