The association aims to teach the different techniques of fishing, knowledge and respect for the environment through the discovery of the aquatic and mountain environment. A 100% trout discovery. The site houses both a fish farm selling fresh and processed fish, and a fun fishing trail. Stalk rainbow, fario and large trout and discover the emblematic fish of the Hautes-Pyrénées in its natural environment. A simple rod and a meal is guaranteed. Although... Arreau is where the Neste d'Aure and the Neste du Louron converge, making it a paradise for fario trout anglers. These first-category rivers are teeming with salmonids. In addition to trout, the high-altitude lakes are home to char, brook salmon and crystivomers.

Founded in 1922, the Ariège federation of approved associations for fishing and protection of the aquatic environment coordinates the actions of 43 fishing clubs, representing some 10,000 anglers. It is responsible for promoting the activity, but also for safeguarding fishing resources, and coordinates the actions of the various local fishing associations. This AAPPMA chaired by Jean-Pierre Fugairon (since 1977!) focuses on the following areas of influence: Ariège, from Ruisseau Creek to Savignac-les-Ormeaux, Lauze sur 2 km upstream of Ax-les-Thermes, Oriège from Lake Orgeix (also referred to as Lac Lake) to the confluence of the Ariège and Lake of Goulours. Enjoy a pleasant and peaceful atmosphere. For a few hours or a few days you will be able to fish profusion trout fario, trophy salmon, squash, black-bass. Three options are available to you: helicopter fishing in Andorran mountain lakes, fishing in two beautiful lakes in Montaut even the river path on Ariège. The stays are all inclusive: permits, accompaniment, food, lodging accommodation and, for the lakes of altitude, a small helicopter trip over the mountains. An altitude of 2500 m is set in a beautiful environment rich in 10 lakes populated with countless fish (30 to 50 cm). The first two are 3 minutes from the refuge. Salmon of fountains, farios trout are very present in all these lakes. On average, we fish between 20 and 30 salmonids per day, fly, lures and natural bait. 8 fish per stay can be kept in the chimney of the refuge. It takes about 8 hours to reach these wonderful sites, in an enchanting setting and… 10 mn by helicopter! From 1 July to end September: departure every day.

This fishing school is entitled to disclose professional recreational fishing guides (BPJEPS), offers animations and traineeships for children, but also technical training courses for adults around different fishing techniques: carpeting or day carp fishing, peel trout fishing, boat carnate fishing, fly-fly fishing, trash tracking, etc. Four animators, Jean-Baptiste Ferré, Nicolas Costes, Florian Molinié and Manuel Tardif animate this school and guide you on the most interesting spots, including Lake Pareloup.

Nadine Villefranque has made it an essential place for fishermen for over thirty years. Nadine, always smiling and friendly, also sells classic tobacco products with more carterie, papèterie, travel guides (Petit Smart), confectionery, postcards, and especially fishing items: hooks, bait, lines… Each year it organises a fishing competition. The winner is the one who caught the longest fish in the Lot of the year. Fisherman, to your canes!

The Fédération de Pêche du Lot has set itself two missions: to manage the heritage of aquatic environments and to promote recreational fishing. In this respect, the Lot Federation is extremely dynamic and has clearly understood the importance of fishing for Lot tourism. In partnership with the Agence de Développement Touristique, it has undertaken a "Accueil Qualité Pêche" initiative to select the best accommodation located near an accessible and well-populated fishing site.
