In particular, you go to Saillagol, two-thirds of the course; if you are tired, make a short stop: you may find some dogs or cats happy to get caresser!

Every year in early June, cyclists gather for the Montée du Géant, an event in the Hautes-Pyrénées that celebrates the ascent of the Le Géant statue to 2,115 m altitude on the Tourmalet. Designed by Jean-Bernard Métais, the statue honors all the cyclists who have tackled this climb in the Tour de France, including Octave Lapize, the first rider to do so in 1910. It's an opportunity to make a unique ascent, which the bravest cyclists do by the strength of their calves.

There are ten signposted walks starting from Rieumes, representing one hundred and twenty kilometres of paths. Seven of them meander through the valley and present no particular difficulty, so they are perfect for family outings, while three others cover the hillsides and require a little more effort, which is quickly rewarded by the panorama. You will find details of the routes, information and safety instructions at the tourist information office.

Nadine Villefranque has made it an essential place for fishermen for over thirty years. Nadine, always smiling and friendly, also sells classic tobacco products with more carterie, papèterie, travel guides (Petit Smart), confectionery, postcards, and especially fishing items: hooks, bait, lines… Each year it organises a fishing competition. The winner is the one who caught the longest fish in the Lot of the year. Fisherman, to your canes!

The Grand Rodez golf course is located on a vast 45-hectare site near the Château de Fontanges in Onet-le-Château. It has a training area, a clubhouse and two very pleasant courses of 6 and 18 holes. In addition to its technicality, which will delight amateurs, the site offers an exceptional panorama on the city of Rodez and the surrounding countryside. Covered tennis courts and 8 badminton courts complete the facilities. It is also possible to have lunch on site thanks to the restaurant of the Golf and its vast terrace.

Isabelle and Frédéric Favrot's pony club welcomes children and teenagers, and offers a gîte, all supervised by four qualified teachers. Young riders are welcomed from the age of 4, with a programme of games to music and pony rides with the help of parents. For the older ones, the riding centre also offers initiation, improvement, the passage of the gallops until the competition. It is possible to go for walks and rides.

This 9-hole golf course, hilly and wooded, is located in the middle of nature and open all year round. It can accommodate you for a day, a weekend or a longer stay in charming individual houses. The Proshop has equipment for hire and for sale. Access to the driving range is free and tokens for practice are available at the Club House. A qualified instructor gives lessons throughout the year, by appointment. Access to the pool and tennis court is reserved for members and residents.

Sylvie Delmas organizes relevant and original tours, linking the driving forces of local tourism (craftsmen, restaurateurs, producers, artists, museum curators and health professionals) to the curious of the region, according to the calendar. The programmes of visits and stays are extremely varied, allowing everyone to find something to satisfy their curiosity and desire for discovery, whatever their physical condition.

Thierry Jalbaud - a state-certified cycling instructor, holder of the "Certificat de Qualification Handisport randonnée" (Handisport hiking qualification certificate) and a French National Education accreditation - offers mountain bike tours, courses and lessons in the heart of the most beautiful sites in the area. Training sessions enable you to become autonomous over a cycle, learn how to orientate yourself with a GPS, find your bearings and follow the trails. Consult him to build your mountain bike circuit and discover the region with energy!

Saint-Sulpice is embraced by a mosaic of landscapes just waiting to be discovered. It is criss-crossed by numerous signposted footpaths, allowing you to get close to its natural and heritage treasures. Le Petit Futé shares two favorites:

the Pays d'en hauttrail , covering 15 km and passing through Lugan, Azas and Saint-Sulpice

the Plaines de l'Agouttrail : 6 km long, it passes through Saint-Lieux-lès-Lavaur and the Ludolac leisure park

Starting from the lake of Nabeillou, between woods and hills, the path of the Three Lakes offers beautiful views of the region. Lakes and forests, panoramas of crests and multicolored valleys, will make you discover a preserved fauna and flora. A rather impressive nature bath! With a length of 7,5 km, and a duration of approximately 2h30, you will discover on the way an old chapel, Notre-Dame-des-Vignes, and pretty woods. And for the more athletic, there is a fitness trail around the lakes of Miquelou and Nabeillou.

Bernadette and Patrick Rossignol welcome you to this stone farmhouse with its blue shutters. Farmers and outdoor sports enthusiasts, they'll tell you all about the farm and guide you in activities such as canyonning, mountain biking, hiking, caving or tree climbing. In winter, you can even go snowshoeing. At the farm, children can learn how to bake bread, fly a kite or discover the world of bats. Sport, relaxation, discovery and nature are all on the agenda!

This fun trail was created at the Col de la Bassine, on the road to Brassac, 6 kilometers from Lacaune. At an altitude of nearly 1,000 meters, the 3.5 km itinerary lasts a maximum of 1.5 hours. Its circuit leads to the discovery of a well-preserved nature and of the traditions or legends that have marked its history. To better understand the different elements of this interpretation trail, booklets for adults and children are on sale at the Lacaune tourist information office.

The area around Lacaune boasts over 1,000 hectares of deciduous and coniferous trees, as well as numerous hiking trails and picnic areas. More than half of the Monts de Lacaune's surface area is forested, a perfect illustration of the department's conservation and protection efforts. Most of the forest is made up of hardwoods - dominated by beech - located on the heights and slopes. Perfect for venturing out into the greenery.

Golf d'Albi is one of the most popular golf courses in the Tarn region. Superbly designed by Jean Garaïalde and Jeremy Pern, the 18 varied holes of this 6,157-meter course perfectly combine technique and originality. Surrounded in part by the river Tarn and dotted with a number of ponds, it's a pretty spot of greenery that deserves to be trodden and played. Between two swings, you can enjoy the restaurant, whose terrace offers a breathtaking view of the course. In addition, there's a store to help you with all your equipment needs, whatever your level.

Located between 1,700 and 2,215 meters above sea level, the Saint-Lary Mountain Bike Park, with its 10 marked trails, is one of the best places for downhill mountain biking in the Pyrenees. Thanks to the Bouleaux chairlift equipped with bike racks, access to the slopes is quick and easy. The trails, suitable for experts and beginners alike, offer a fun and friendly experience. Although the terrain is safe, we strongly recommend that you wear the correct equipment: helmets and gloves are mandatory. Children under 12 must be supervised.

Elisabeth de Corbigny is the "woman who whispers in the ear of horses". She is a whisperer who educates horses of course, but especially riders. If you have the slightest behavioral problem with your horse, or if you wish to discover this method of understanding the animal, she will teach you how to establish a relationship of respect, trust and harmony with your mount. Elisabeth organizes courses of one or more weeks or weekends.

Aline, with her light gait, guides you through the most beautiful Pyrenean landscapes, offering a delightful experience! During the summer, whether it's for a day or a multi-day getaway, she'll take you out with her donkeys, who'll carry your equipment for you. So you can walk with a light heart and nimble feet! In the evening, sit by the fire, listening to Aline's spellbinding tales and dreaming... In winter, don your snowshoes and head out into the snow in search of ermine tracks!

This 4-star greenway was developed by the municipality of Toulouse for 10 km and then by the Department of Haute-Garonne for 43 km following the towpath of the canal. It is the longest and most beautiful in the region, the first section of an itinerary to Sète, in the shade of large plane trees. Here passes the splendid Véloroute du canal des Deux Mers. Along the way, you can admire the canal's engineering structures, locks and others, and the villages of the Lauragais.

The Fédération de Pêche du Lot has set itself two missions: to manage the heritage of aquatic environments and to promote recreational fishing. In this respect, the Lot Federation is extremely dynamic and has clearly understood the importance of fishing for Lot tourism. In partnership with the Agence de Développement Touristique, it has undertaken a "Accueil Qualité Pêche" initiative to select the best accommodation located near an accessible and well-populated fishing site.

To enable fishing enthusiasts to enjoy their hobby in the best possible conditions and keep fish populations healthy, the Federation works to protect aquatic environments, manage fish stocks and promote recreational fishing. The Bernicaze farm offers to discover the region on horseback. All the horses are born and raised at the farm and are particularly well adapted to the terrain. Adeline accompanies these 2 or 3 hour outings where panoramic views and forest trails will enchant you. Day trips or hikes of several days, in the heart of the Pyrenees (Gavarnie, National Park...), are also possible. Courses are organized for children from 8 years old.

The tour of the lakes, from late May to early October, offers hikers a memorable experience. They follow the trail to Aubert and Aumar, which starts from the Lac d'Orédon parking lot. Located on the left-hand side of the route des lacs, about 1 km after Orédon, the trail takes less than an hour to reach the first laquette. The hike continues along the GR10 towards Estoudou, before returning to Orédon, the starting point for this trail, which is accessible to all walkers in good physical condition.

This magnificent golf course overlooks the town of Bagnères. An 18-hole course and a quality driving range are available. A traditional golf course located in a natural wooded area, this course spreads out the 5 900 meters of its 18 holes over 40 hectares. Les Haras des Lacs is an equestrian center with riding arenas, a riding school and a jumping ground for regular practice. Horseback riding is a great way to enjoy the Revel region, which is so conducive to relaxing in the open air. This 5.5 km urban trail allows you to discover different aspects of the town of Gaillac. From Saint-Michel Abbey, it descends towards the river to follow the banks of the Tarn. The city seems far away! The Hortalisse district, with its maze of paths leading from garden to garden, tells the story of the market gardeners who, until the ^mid-20th century, supplied the surrounding markets. The walk ends at the river Tarn and the prosperous old port.

For accomplished sportsmen or lovers of new thrills, the park is located in the heart of the Aveyron gorges below the Bône cirque, on the river bank, along hiking trails and climbing routes. More than seventy workshops to discover on the six courses adapted to all levels of difficulty, and including zip lines, free fall and tree climbing. This exceptional setting is environmentally friendly, as Parc Aventure has signed the Natura 2000 charter. For all ages and levels, but just for fun.

Solomiac offers beautiful hikes in its surroundings, with notably the Pigeonniers trail or the Gimone trail. The 17 different routes allow you to enjoy the beauty of the Gers countryside and its bucolic panoramas. Hiking maps can be obtained from the Mauvezin Tourist Office or from the Solomiac town hall, which has financed a wonderful educational booklet allowing children to discover the banks of the Gimone.

Discovery trail of the Gimone. This trail is 1.7 km to 3 km long and is ideal to walk with children. Designed by the association Arbre et Paysage 32, it was financed by the Community of Communes. An educational booklet accompanies the trail and allows the youngest to become familiar with nature. Explanations, games, anecdotes allow to approach different themes: water, soil, fauna, flora, biotope, ecosystem and sustainable development. The games were created by students from the schools of Solomiac and Sarrant. The booklet, free of charge, can be picked up at the town hall of Solomiac or in the Tourist Offices. The map of the path can be downloaded from the commune's website.

Randonnée des Pigeonniers. This 14 km loop is for adults or cyclists. It crosses the countryside surrounding Solomiac and will lead you to the discovery of the pigeon houses, emblematic of the culture of the South-West. You can also see windmills and enjoy a superb panorama. The circuit is described in detail on the commune's website.

The Natura Game park is located in the heart of the Toulouse countryside. You can spend a beautiful day in the fresh air while practicing fun activities, accessible to the whole family. The route is 154 km long. It is signposted in both directions, on small, shared roads with little traffic, between hills and valleys. Over 2 to 5 days, you'll discover this little-known region, with its remarkable natural and historical heritage, which is a candidate for the Parc Naturel Régional label. You'll discover small villages marked by a profoundly rural identity and landscapes with an exceptional mosaic of colors. If you're short of time or just fancy a short stroll, you can select just a small portion of the route. Whether you're on your own, with your family or with friends, get on your electrically-assisted bike (or your road bike for the more sporty); this tour is suitable for families and experienced cyclists alike. In May 2024, the Pays d'Auch inaugurated this cyclo-tourist circuit by organizing 6 "Cinécyclo" evenings, a unique concept combining bicycle touring, cultural action and environmental awareness through open-air cinema screenings... all powered by the strength of your calves.
Futé : Arriving in the Gers by train, with your bike? The Grand Tour de l'Astarac route is easily accessible from Auch station.

This cycle route stretches for almost 160 km along the River Baïse. It starts in Lot-et-Garonne, crosses the Gers via Condom, Valence-sur-Baïse and Mirande, before ending in the Hautes-Pyrénées. The Condom - Saint-Jean-Poutge section is 38 km long, the Saint-Jean-Poutge - Mirande section 25.9 km. It's a great ride for cyclists, who can take advantage of numerous stops to discover local heritage, landscapes and producers.

At the foot of Saint-Cirq-Lapopie, Estelle and Sylvain propose you to discover the surroundings through bike rides (electric or muscle-assisted). Native of this small corner of the Lot, they have drawn up original home-made itineraries, off the beaten track, to discover a territory they know by heart. Péchabou is a small town in the Toulouse region. Fencing enthusiasts will be delighted to discover the Cercle d'Escrime Jean-François Arnaud, a local club offering courses and competitions for all levels. The club is a partner of the Midi-Pyrénées Regional Council's "CARTE JEUNE" scheme, which offers financial assistance for sports licenses. The club has also taken part in several national competitions, with good results. Spectators can enjoy superb fencing performances at these events. Finally, the club regularly organizes demonstrations and initiations to introduce fencing to the public.
