Lourdes is a town in south-west France, best known for its Catholic shrine. However, for caving enthusiasts, there are also some interesting activities to discover. The Groupe de Recherches et d'Activités Spéléo (GRAS) offers underground explorations in various quarries and caves in the region. Sup. The Groupe Spéléologique Haut-Pyrénéen de Tarbes (GSHP) is the oldest caving club in the department. With around thirty members, it's a modestly sized structure, but one that operates with great flexibility. The GSHP is mainly focused on exploring the Pierre St Martin and St Pé de Bigorre massifs. The club's activities are varied and there's something for everyone, whether you're looking for new entrances, clearing out caves or visiting caves you already know. Visits to "classic" caves are also organized throughout the year. The GSHP also takes part in inter-club exploration camps and more distant expeditions. The club is also involved in underground rescue activities in collaboration with Spéléo Secours Français and CDSC. The GSHP has also contributed to the publication of an exhaustive inventory of the department's caves on Karsteau, a database accessible to all.

The Groupe Spéléologique du Quercy is a caving club based in Cahors. The club brings together enthusiasts of the Lot's caves and offers a range of caving-related activities.

You'll set off above the resort of Peyragudes, climbing 600 meters. Once up there, you'll find a variety of itineraries of varying degrees of difficulty, before embarking on a spectacular 10-kilometer descent to Loudenvielle. In between seasons, it's not uncommon to spot hinds and deer roaming the forest.

This disused former railroad line, inaugurated in 1893, has been converted into a 33-kilometer greenway. Hikers, horse riders, cyclists and joggers can enjoy the route, alone or with the family, in complete safety and close to nature, far from cars and asphalt. Condom is the starting point, with a 21 km link to Lagraulet-du-Gers. Cazeneuve is 8 km from Eauze. This bucolic route is within easy reach of major tourist sites such as Larressingle, Mouchan, the hamlet of Vopillon and Montréal-du-Gers.

Two tours in one! At the beginning of Brie, this divisible course in two parts pace up the area surrounding the town and the valley of Lavra. The first loop leaves south in a wooded area, while the second, in the east, climbs to the slopes of Terrefort, offering on the way an excellent views of the Pyrenees (at least weather permitting). If 8 km are too long walk for you, choose à la carte, the option that suits you best!

Because it's necessary for all levels, we're integrating a little more difficult mountain bike route into our selection of walks. At the beginning of Saint-Félix-de-Rieutord, it takes you to the hilly landscape of the "massif. So prepare yourself to face some climbs. the cross of the Cross and the Col Pass are perhaps the most fearsome, but you will be rewarded with beautiful panoramas on the Pyrenees, and of course the ensuing raids!

The Escalade climbing site is one of the most well-known and experienced in the French Pyrenees. It is located in four limestone sites around the municipalities of Bédeilhac, Surba and Rabbat. It offers beginner climbers as well as the pleasure of moving on to varied walls of difficulty. All are equipped with good quality equipment, with studs or seals.

The largest Calamès site has 220 tracks, from 3 c to 8 b +: It lends itself both to initiation and to climbing. Exposed to the south, it enjoys a pleasant ensolleillement; but mistrust in case of heavy heat, because only the area of the caves is shaded.

This is the circuit No. 10 of the ATV trails developed by the tourist office of Saint-Affricain, and it starts from Saint-Izaire. Since you are here, we invite you, before climbing, to visit the village and its episcopal castle: the whole one deserves a look. Are you ready? Then climb your car and go to Riols, where you will cross the intriguing statue-menhir. The less brave can stop there and take the path of return by joining the Saint-Affrique-Albi line, while the others will continue towards the pond of Chur, 4 kilometers later. These will then return to a good port by taking the shaded road of Black Wood, which will lead them to a remarkable point of view at the height of Sermet.

Departure in Versols-et-Lapeyre for this mountain biking route, the eighth circuit developed by the tourist office of Saint-Affricain. Before climbing, a visit of Versols is necessary to immerse you with the charm of this fortified village and to discover its castle. Your itinerary will then take you on both sides of the Verzolet Creek, which will accompany you all along. Easy to access and low uneven (130 metres), it presents itself as a good option for a family outing.

On this easy walk through the heart of the town, you will quickly understand why stone and art are the emblems of Moissac. Starting from the cloister, you will slowly make your way towards the Saint-Pierre abbey church and the tympanum, then, before continuing to the Place des Récollets, make a detour to the former abbey palace. Then take successively the rue du Général-Gras, the rue des Arts and the rue Sainte-Catherine, without missing the beautiful Saint-Jacques church on the way.

On foot or by bike, go to Boudou for this outing to the birds. From the bridge of Coudol you are quickly heading to the leisure base of Saint-Nicolas-de-la-Grave, from which you will enjoy a privileged point of view on the same name, formed by the confluence of the Tarn and the Garonne. If the place is ideal for the practice of nautical activities, it is also a large ornithological reserve, recognized for the diversity of bird species that inhabit it. The observatory is a little further away; to reach it, you will have to walk along the banks of the Garonne over two kilometres. Then continue to the village of Saint-Nicolas-de-la-Grave, before you go back.

Since 2011, Albi has hosted a new recreation base: that of Cantepau. Free access and open all year round, it has many sporting facilities that will make the athletes in the corner happy! Between the fields of bicross, mountain biking, tennis, football or beach volleyball, the space is a health course. Far from the sports venues, let us admit that the physical exercise in this natural setting along the Tarn is very nice. A playground and picnic area are also available.

Here is an urban hike, accessible in the middle of the city, and yet in the nature, along the Tarn and the Caussels. These three trails take you through a preserved and maintained country setting for 7 kilometers along the GR 36. The "sentier des Berges" first links the cathedral parking lot to the mouth of the Caussels stream, then gives way to the "Sentier sauvage", between the Pont-Neuf and the avenue du Loirat. Finally, the Mouline trail ends the loop, stretching to the Planques parking lot.

The tours of Albi's historic center take you on a walking adventure, accessible to all and free of charge. Equipped with explanatory panels, three itineraries reveal the city's secrets and guide you through its picturesque districts. The purple circuit lets you discover the charms of the Castelviel, Castelnau and Bourg Saint-Salvi districts. The gold circuit takes you through the lively streets of Patus Cremat and Vigan. From Castres, the path of the little train of Lacaune invites you to hike in a bucolic setting, partly along the Agoût river. Gardens, streams, undergrowth and small bridges are on the program - be careful with children when you overhang the river. After eight kilometers of walking, jogging or biking, you will reach the medieval village of Burlats. In addition to its several monuments, you will find toilets and a water point. The more athletic walkers can continue the hike towards Lacaune.

This greenway follows the path of the old railway line that once linked Carmaux to the Découverte mine. Today, the rails have given way to a pleasant shady walk and the mine to a rather complete leisure centre. With 35 kilometres of free cycle paths, it will allow you to continue your physical effort a little longer. The only drawback is that the surface is not ideal for rollerblades.

If this Véloroute starts in Saint-Cirq-Madelon, it ends exactly at the Écoute s'il Pleut lake, at the entrance of Gourdon. So don't expect to connect the two villages. If you are looking for a nice bike ride, on the other hand, this walk in Bouriane will satisfy you. Pleasant, its itinerary evolves on small roads that are safer than the average, so much so that it is almost like a Voie verte.

Starting from the Col du Soulor, two discovery trails follow one another to reveal the wonders of this magnificent mountain site, which is also a migratory passage for birds. You begin your exploration at an altitude of 1,474 meters on the sentier des Rapaces, which takes 45 minutes to complete. Featuring five informative panels, it guides you to the La Tachouère restaurant, showing you how to recognize the different species. Then the Passereaux trail (1h30) takes over, offering a more playful route through the forest.

Short, easy and without big difference in level, this circuit reserves you a breathtaking point of view on the valley of the Lot and on the city of Capdenac-Gare. But this is not its only asset. From the parking lot of the ramparts of Capdenac-le-Haut, the itinerary leads you to the Gaulish fountain and the fountain of Caesar, two masterpieces of the historical heritage of the town. You are here on the site of the battle of Uxellodunum, the last battle of the Gallic War, in 51 BC.

On foot or by bike, this hiking loop reserves a varied and varied landscape. However, rest assured that there are no big difficulties in perspective! In a landscape of slopes and vineyards, your journey leads you in particular to the villages of Juillac and Tourdun, to close the Aménagé lake, km away. In the summer, why not complete your effort with the comfort of a swimming? With family or friends, here is an interesting option for the Sunday exit!

When you're lucky enough to live or stay at altitude, there are some physical activities that just flow out of you! Nordic hiking is a perfect example. At Col de Picotalen, there are three signposted routes for snowshoeing and cross-country skiing. If you're a beginner or have little training, we recommend the shortest. Its 3.6 kilometers will already give you a great view of the snow-covered mountains. Cross-country skis, sledges and snowshoes are available for hire from the chalet.

The remarkable sequence of religious oratories dedicated to the crucifixion of Christ, which you can admire today, is largely the result of the unstinting commitment of the residents. Built in the second half of the ^19th century, the chapels were damaged during the war and then forgotten under a thicket of brambles. It wasn't until 1984 that a voluntary clearing initiative was undertaken by the villagers.

Close to the thermal park, the minigolf course at the foot of the Bédat is one of the most majestic in France. Its 18-hole course, set in a green setting, offers a varied terrain of impeccable fairways, waterfalls, ponds and hills. Tracks, ranging from tartan to clay to grass, offer captivating challenges, some with giant animals to delight the little ones. The clubhouse, a thatched chalet, invites you to relax on its flower-filled terrace.

From the beginners' course for the very young to the black route for the more athletic, with a large zip line that takes you up to 20 m, passing through the red courses with a climbing pole, the site is adapted to all levels and all sizes. In fact, it is the size that determines your access to this or that course. The common denominator is a continuous lifeline from one end of the course to the other. You can enjoy more than 100 games, from zip lines to swings! Thrills are guaranteed and go hand in hand with safety, you are supervised like a real pro. Young and old alike are challenged by adapted activities, but it is above all important to surpass oneself. You will leave the Aya stronger but also emptied, after a great day that will delight the whole family. For groups, the site offers packages including tree climbing and hiking, orienteering or canyoning discovery trips with the descent of the Cérétou waterfalls.

Hike Occitane is a 6-minute walk from May 2016 to the end of October 2016. These hikes are aimed at discovering the natural beauties and the sights of the Midi-Pyrénées region. On October 29 and 30, the «Hike Occitane» will be held in Eycheil.

Located at the exit of Saint-Girons, Eycheil is a municipality of the Regional Natural Park of the Ariègeoises Pyrenees. With its 450 hectares from west to east, at the foot of the cliffs of the Sourroque massif (1 100 m), Eycheil is the ideal starting point for various walks.

The Gèdre Hall is a small gem of its kind with 350 meters of grimpable surface! More than 18 metres high, fifteen beautiful climbing lines, string games changed every year, a block space of 6 metres long: the many routes are adapted to all levels. Access is done in total autonomy, so we have to master the techniques of assurage and string manipulation to enjoy all the possibilities. You also have to bring your straps and descendeurs because the room provides only strings and dégaines. A great potential for climbing fans!

The Cauterets Bike Park promises a thrilling summer season, with 1,500 m of vertical drop and 45 minutes of non-stop downhill mountain biking. The site offers trails for all levels, from novice to experienced. You'll enjoy banked turns, gaps and other modules, while admiring the Pyrenees' iconic peaks. New features include a rehabilitated blue run, a new green run for families, and a fun zone with wooden modules. The Le Lys restaurant offers welcome refreshments.

Fabien Martin is an outdoor instructor and guide. He organises outings on the water, on the rocks and in the trees in Aveyron and elsewhere: climbing, viacorda, kayaking, hydrospeed, giant paddle... Since June 2020, he offers a completely unusual activity: the battle archery. A bow, arrows with a foam tip, and "fighters" who confront each other. The objective: aim and eliminate your opponents, catch arrows in flight, and win the battle, according to fun and easy-to-understand rules.

The principle of parkrun is simple: a collective jogging, supervised and timed, each at his own pace, from beginners to the most trained. Supervised by volunteers, it is totally free. The parkrun of La Ramée offers you to meet a group of joggers on Saturday morning at the sports and leisure center of La Ramée, for a five kilometer run. You just have to register before your first participation on the site. At the end of the course, a snack is shared between the participants. Ideal to keep in shape in a friendly atmosphere.

Installed in the heart of Les Minimes, Ultrajump is a little more than a simple indoor trampoline park. It has been set up as a parkour ground, this urban discipline which consists in jumping from one point to another. An urban golf course accessible by bus? Toulouse has done it, with Golf de Garonne, opening in 2019. Here you are just a few minutes from the city center, in a quiet setting on the banks of the Garonne: 17 hectares of a compact course, ideal when you want to play with little time to spare. A regional training center, it is aimed at beginners as well as experienced players, whether able-bodied or disabled. The 20-station driving range, 10 of which are covered, has a depth of 300 meters. There's also a panoramic restaurant with an attractive terrace.

The Golf de Salies-du-Salat is located a short distance from the centre. For the uninitiated, these machines could be described as scooters, even if their wheels have a somewhat atypical appearance. And while we're on the subject of atypical, it's worth noting that the only thing you'll have to worry about are blades of grass: in Barèges, it's trottinherbes that get you around! However, the pleasure of handling the handlebars soon takes over, and it has to be said that hurtling down the Col du Tourmalet in this way lends a spectacular dimension. Fish your trout and enjoy it on the spot! Amateurs or pro of fishing, the appointment is given. In the Black Mountain, we come here to recharge and spend a good time discovering the nature and the trout fishing in this basin of Laudot, a river that feeds trout farming before throwing into the lake of Saint-Ferréol. Among other things, you will be able to fish your fish in this sensible farming which feeds its trout-free trout, animal meal or blood flour. A golf course with beautiful dimensions (6 400 m of course, 18 holes, par 72, which makes it the longest of the region) at 10 minutes of the city center of Montauban... The course, marked out by many water levels, designed by Yves Bureau, a renowned golf architect, includes a section shaded by hundred-year-old oaks, around the Pra de L'Estang manor. The forests of the Black Mountain, the Grésigne and the Sidobre offer majesteueux spaces, where the hunters will be happy and can enjoy their passion in all its forms. In fact, fox hunting, mass game hunting or solo hunting are practiced. You can hunt on small game (hare, quail or woodcock) and big game like wild boar, deer or deer. 

Seven hiking trails have been created, including the Art Nature trail. In the centre of Latouille-Lentillac, to the left of the church, a small path climbs up to the locality of Larraufie where the walk starts. The Art Nature path is a real museum in the woods, combined with a botanical path. Throughout a walk of more than a kilometre, you will discover about sixty surprising, tender, magical works of art... A poetic and enchanting walk. What are these "phosphatières"? They are, in fact, old mines whose exploitation during the ^19th century led to the unsuspected discovery of fossils over 30 million years old! Accompanied by a guide, you gradually make your way into the heart of this open-air cave, where the tropical atmosphere is truly exotic! Then venture off on your own into the various themed areas, before finishing off with a moment of relaxation in the picnic area set aside for the occasion.
