The AquaBresse aquatic center is a beautiful 2,000^m2 facility in the heart of the Bresse town, for amateur and experienced swimmers as well as families. The facility features a paddling pool, leisure pool, aquabike, massage areas for splashing around and relaxing, and a sports area for swimming. Outside, there's a beach volleyball court and sunbeds for sunbathing. AquaBresse also breaks the routine by organizing a number of events from time to time. The Municipale municipal Swimming Pool is a outdoor swimming pool open only during the summer season. It is lined with tiled trees and offers a pleasant setting to relax in the summer or to take swimming lessons with the master swimmer. This swimming pool is made up of a large 25 m tall basin with a depth of 3,80 m, a small 12,5 m pond with a depth of 1,20 m and a children's paddling pool. Located right next to the supervised beach at the Laives lakes, the Aqua fun park has been delighting tourists and locals alike since summer 2022. This course of inflatable water games, which can be accessed with a life jacket, lets you let off steam for one or two hours. Spanning some 1,000^m2, the course features a number of modules: slides, a blob jump, a jumping tower, etc. For adults and children alike, there's plenty of fun to be had. A great family activity at the heart of a nautical base with a wide range of activities.

Since 2020, during the summer months, the town of Mâcon and its tourist office have taken up the challenge of transforming the banks of the Saône into a water sports center. On the vast esplanade Lamartine, the Mâcon sur l'Ô operation offers rentals of pedalos, paddles and other watercraft. For the less sporty, a touring boat is available to tame the Saône. Rosalies, pedal go-karts and bicycles can also be rented for strolling along the banks. You're all set for a busy day discovering the city in a whole new way!

Wakeboarding, water-skiing, kneeboarding and other board sports can all be enjoyed cable-drawn at Totem Wake Park. These activities are open to all riders aged 8 and over. On a 780 m-long cable, ten riders can ride at the same time. Beginners will be happy to stand on their own two feet (progress is generally quite rapid), while the more experienced can take on different modules for some crazy jumps. A stand-up paddle area, snack bar, restaurant and volleyball court are also available.

Refurbished in 2021, clean and functional, the small Verdun-sur-le-Doubs aquatic complex has almost all the features of a large one. Entirely outdoor, it features a 25-meter pool, a smaller, gently sloping learning pool and a paddling pool with fountains. For the children's enjoyment, there are three waterslides for speeding along. The pools are heated to 27°C, and there's a large grassy area for sunbathing. Large shaded seating areas are also available.

Situated on the Bourdon lake, between Saint-Fargeau and Moutiers, this famous leisure centre offers, in addition to accommodation (chalets, dormitories, tents), a wide range of activities: kayaking, canoeing, paddle, windsurfing, archery, mountain biking, orienteering, beach volleyball, etc. Cultural activities are also on the agenda with numerous workshops for children. But you can also simply enjoy the beaches along the lake and its restaurant area.

The Saône is perfect in Auxonne for windsurfing, optimist or even canoeing. L'Etoile Auxonnaise is a combination of several sports clubs, affiliated with the French sailing Federation, rents it to the public non member of windsurfing and sailing dinghies during the period from April to October. Very dynamic with the public young in particular, it organizes courses in summer.

Also, if you stay not far from Auxonne, you will find this hotel a perfect frame for training of specialities enumerated above. Children aged between 8 and 12 years can even free session on optimist or windsurfing - from 10 years. Finally, from May to at the end of August, several issues and regattas are scheduled. The Auxonne pool is located on the banks of the Saône, near the campsite. Open throughout the summer season, from late May to mid-September, it has two basins of 25 and 12.50 meters and a pool. It welcomes schools, the army and the public at different times and offers very attractive rates. To go diving, do not hesitate to contact the city hall.

With 2,500 m² of pool space, the Espace Nautique du Grand Chalon is a very attractive complex for a medium-sized town. An Olympic-size pool, a 25 m pool, a leisure pool (massaging jets, counter-current river...), a paddling pool, an aquagym area and a fitness room make up the interior. In fine weather, the complex's roofs open onto the outside, and a wave pool, two waterslides and grassy areas for sunbathing complete the offer.

At 130 ha, Lac de Panthier is the largest feeder lake for the Burgundy Canal in the Auxois region. Enjoying the rolling Auxois countryside, at the foot of the medieval fortress of Châteauneuf-en-Auxois, its banks are home to a 4-star campsite. On offer: walking and cycling tours of the lake, canoe hire, fishing, sandy beach and supervised swimming. There's also a sailing center with windsurf and catamaran rentals. Further afield, the Tour des Lacs de l'Auxois hiking circuit offers 160 km of marked trails from lake to lake.

What could be more pleasant than spending the day on the shores of Lake Settons frolicking in the water? This is what you can do with your family or friends at the Aquapark: a gigantic inflatable structure dressed in yellow and blue, floating on the calm waters of the lake, awaits you for endless obstacle courses. Equipped with life jackets to be on the safe side, you will be able to take on the slides, climbing walls and other giant trampolines for hours of fun!

For a peaceful stopover between two days of sightseeing, visit Lac de Montaubry, located near Le Creusot, in the commune of Le Breuil. This vast, winding lake with its sandy beaches is very bucolic and wooded. It's a popular spot for bathing (supervised from time to time at Plage des Patins), fishing from the shore or from a boat, as well as more sporting activities such as paddle-boarding, windsurfing and water-skiing. A wild and friendly place to unwind.

Lac de Montaubry, not far from Le Creusot, is an ideal shady spot for a day's swimming or fishing. It's also a popular spot for board sports. To make the most of it, contact the members of Ski nautique club Montaubry, who offer water-ski and wake-board baptisms, as well as sessions for the initiated. The activity is open to everyone aged 5 and over. Even if you've never done it before, you'll soon find the sensations exhilarating.

In the middle of the forêt au Duc, the eight-hectare shallow Griottier-Blanc pond is home to a population of salmonids, farios and bows. Only fly-fishing is permitted. It's an unspoilt place where peace reigns, where the murmur of the water joins the silence of the forest. The site also offers a pleasant setting for a bucolic stroll or for cooling off in summer. This pleasant stretch of water in the middle of the forest is an ideal destination for a day out with the family, or a late afternoon romantic getaway to enjoy the setting sun.

In the summer, there are many possibilities to discover the surroundings. Why not enjoy the Saône-et-Loire from the water? Rent a single or two-seater kayak, choose your circuit and a shuttle will bring you to the starting point (6 km from Saunières, 10 km from Pontoux or 14 km from Navilly). You can then navigate independently towards Verdun-sur-le-Doubs. For the more athletic, a bike and kayak package allows you to combine the two activities in one day. You will appreciate the landscape in all its forms.

In Chalaux, in the heart of France's Morvan region, Noémie Cazin and Aurélien Noble have been offering rafting, hydrospeed and canoeing trips for the past four years. The experience begins with participants being fully equipped with neoprene wetsuit, socks, jacket, lifejacket and helmet. Once ready, they head for the starting point, some 20 minutes away, to admire the Morvan countryside. Instructor Aurélien reminds them of the safety instructions before setting off on the Chalaux. Along the way, he shares his passion for nature, detailing the flora and fauna of the Morvan. Participants can also try their hand at the sensational washing machine test. The descent continues with category 3 or 4 rapids, requiring a good hold on the rope. After an hour and a half's descent, Noémie welcomes participants back to dry land with tea and coffee.
