OPÉRA DE REIMS

Concert hall for classical music opera and dance

A true masterpiece of Reims' architectural heritage, the Reims Opera House was built in 1866 by Alphonse Gosset, according to a model characteristic of Italian theatres. Partially destroyed by bombing during the Great War, the building was entirely restored in 1931 in an Art Deco style. Admire the sublime 7.50 m diameter glass roof signed by Edgar Brandt in the theatre. The shows, from baroque to contemporary, will seduce all audiences: ballets, operettas, jazz, and even musical tales for young and old.
