This giant ball represents the excessiveness of Sin City, with its giant 15,000m2 screen (16K resolution), 170,000 speakers and haptic seats. The venue can accommodate up to 19,000 people for concerts, shows and projections. The band U2 opened in October with a show that fans won't forget. The outside facade is a spectacle in itself, with a 53,000m2 screen broadcasting continuous images. An unforgettable outing.
GREAT AMERICAN MUSIC HALL
Read moreThis 1907 cabaret, a former brothel converted into a concert hall, is sumptuous with its tiers decorated with moldings. Throughout its history, it has hosted all the big names: from Van Morrison to Duke Ellington, including the mythical Grateful Dead, the emblematic group of San Francisco hippies. And, of course, many local rock bands. Be sure to check out the lineup beforehand, as many of the concerts are sold out!
CAFÉ DU NORD
Read moreThis speakeasy opened in 1907, and has built a reputation throughout the last century as a must-see place for any night owl worth his salt in California. Renovated in 2015, it has a new look, while keeping a 1920's touch on the decoration side, thanks to a very nice dark wood bar, and decorations marked between the two wars. The eclectic program allows to gather a crowd of amateurs of soft music like jazz and folk. The dishes proposed on the restaurant's menu are classic and successful, enough to make a good dinner.
HOUSE OF BLUES
Read moreWhile a restaurant with a tropical feel, featuring southern American cuisine, occupies the casino level, the basement houses an unsuspected music hall. The concert hall, of almost human size (which is rare in Las Vegas), is decorated with a multitude of colorful motifs: abstract forms, men, animals... Mister Imagination, a painter, decorated the bar with thousands of beer caps. It is there that bands or artists of pop, blues, jazz or rock regularly perform.

Read moreAfter the Hard Rock Hotel was acquired by the Virgin Group (becoming Virgin Hotels and Casino), The Joint concert hall was renamed The Theater. With a capacity of more than 4,500 people, the three-level space has been completely renovated, including bars, suites and new VIP lounges. The venue offers a very eclectic program with music of all genres (rock, pop, country, jazz...) but also sporting events. It is not uncommon to see MMA(Mix Martial Arts) fights.
THE ECHO + ECHOPLEX
Read moreThis is probably one of the most popular venues in the Echo Park area. Every week, events are held at The Echo and Echo Plex, two venues located in the same building. On the program: instrumental music, rap, emo punk, pop, post-hardcore, alternative RnB... In short, a selection as sharp and as eclectic as possible. Attention, even if it is also a club, the doors open only for the concerts and DJ sets, whose schedules are indicated on the tickets.
THE REGENCY BALLROOM
Read moreThis superb concert hall is historic, having been built in 1909 with the grandeur of the halls of the time. Featuring parquet flooring on stage and a horseshoe balcony, it's an example of Scottish architecture blending gilding, stucco and red velvet in neoclassical and beaux-arts styles. The musical program is one of San Francisco's most renowned, with major headliners in all styles performing here, from electro and American hip hop to rock, reggae and naija.
