Founded in 1972 in Heraklion, Minoan Lines is today one of the largest shipping companies in Europe. On July 5, 1974, the emblematic ferry F/B Minos made its first crossing between the port of Heraklion and Piraeus. Since 2008, the company has been part of the Grimaldi Group, with a fleet of 8 vessels, ferries and high speed ferries, operating between Crete and Piraeus and also between Greece and Italy.
