In its splendid Italian-style auditorium, director Laurent Campellone and Patricia Petibon, godmother of the 2023-2024 season, present women fighting against their destiny and diktats. Other news: a partnership with Milan's prestigious Teatro alla Scala; and the creation of an "Orchestre Populaire de l'Opéra de Tours". Read moreLike every year, between July and August, during thirteen wonderful evenings, you will be able to enjoy four well put together operas at the Baugé Opera Festival. Young promising singers, professional conductors and choirs participate. In a staging conceived for the festival, you will vibrate with Verdi's Un ballo in maschera, Mascagni's Cavalleria rusticana, Ravel's L'Enfant et les sortilèges or Smetana's La Fiancée vendue. All this in a bucolic setting where talent and charm are perfectly matched, not to be missed!

Since the arrival of Laurent Campellone at the direction of the Opera of Tours in 2020, the orchestra benefits from renowned guests at the baton. Operas, operettas, symphonies, chamber music, contemporary music, young audience... Everything is allowed! And for you too: come and meet the musicians in Tours, during the heritage days or the Tous à l'Opéra day.
