DOMAINE JACQUES ROUZÉ
The estate consists of 16 ha in the Quincy appellation, planted with Sauvignon on siliceous soils, 4 ha in the Reuilly appellation, planted with Pinot Noir and Pinot Gris on clay-limestone soil and 1.6 ha in the Châteaumeillant appellation. On the estate, cultivation is reasoned to preserve the soil, the environment and the fauna. Since 2007, the vinification is done in thermo-regulated stainless steel vats, and the wines are kept on fine lees before bottling. The diversity of the terroirs allows great freedom in the blending and the elaboration of the cuvées. Thus, you will have the choice between several cuvées: the Tradition cuvée, fruity and intense, ideal to accompany the aperitif or shellfish, the Vignes d'Antan cuvée, which offers more substance and structure in the mouth, the Collection cuvée, specially selected by the winemaker from the best blends, and the Red cuvée Esquisse to bring roundness and richness in the mouth. To prepare your visit, it is best to make an appointment. Don't miss the open day that takes place every year on Ascension Thursday. On the programme: tasting and sales of many local products, musical entertainment, and cheese tasting...
