Goat farm near the village, with a store selling many goat cheeses and natural farm yogurts.

Close to the village, this goat farm (with 160 goats and 8 billy goats) invites you to go behind the scenes of a farm with a beautiful view. Depending on the time of day, you can watch the milking, the driving in the meadow and easily caress the goats. A visit to the store is a must. You will find many goat cheeses (crottins de Chavignol in particular), but also natural farm yoghurts (on order) or original creations such as goat's milk jam or Camenchèvre, a goat cheese with a Camembert flavour.

Je vous donne un avis récent de ma visite en ce lieu (octobre 2023). Cette chèvrerie située non loin de la Loire dans un site isolé avec un chemin bitumé pour y accéder, n'est qu'une boutique de vente (attention aux heures d'ouverture ,plutôt en fin de journée et sur quelques jours!) On ne peut visiter la chèvrerie,, assister à la traite et éventuellement voir les différentes étapes de fabrication des fromages (ils font chèvres et brebis). Les prix sont ceux du commerce et le choix n'est pas énorme, par contre c'est une chèvrerie à taille humaine.et artisanale.

For the product: Chavignol goat cheese worthy of the name is with old: goats that graze outdoor fresh herbs;
A panel of choice: fresh white (including cottage cheese and slackness of cow) with the blue refined well via various periods of white drying droppings. A fine pasta, a delight.
And ensures the final touch: A very good price: May 2013: €1.15 /crottin

For: Warm hospitality, not forced sale, you will Love what you offers us (and they can be about it proud of their quality); Always someone to welcome they are not as in some other houses...
Other local products is to be discovered but it is felt that it is not the aim to make a trade.
