From Briare (Loiret) to Digoin (Saône-et-Loire), over a length of 196 km, the lateral canal in the Loire, opened in 1838, allows the batenterie of all kinds of boats, especially those so called pleasure - although still grain transport it! - thanks to the standards of the Freycinet (Class I European template).
