A pleasant walking area with magnificent pleasure gardens
At the gates of Brocéliande nestles a unique place in Europe. The Hortensias du Haut-Bois nursery cultivates more than 550 varieties of hydrangeas on 13 hectares of land. A place where this emblematic plant and flower of Brittany is sold, the site is also a very pleasant place to walk. The owners allow free access to their land and, better than that, have marked out a path among the hydrangeas and created magnificent ornamental gardens, offering a real botanical initiation. The renovated 19th century greenhouse is also a marvel. Gourmet break: The tea room, open in summer, offers an astonishing and delicious hydrangea infusion, as well as a menu of floral teas, cold drinks and sweet local delicacies. It has outdoor tables lined with hydrangeas and an indoor area for rainy days.

We waren er met regen, nadat het eerder heel veel geregend had. Waren daar met iemand met beperkte mobiliteit en die kon slecht lopen over de (drassige) karrensporen die door moesten gaan voor paden.
Vermoedelijk dus leuk uitstapje met droog weer nadat het ook al wat langer droog weer is geweest.
